Lily Sailor
The doorbell rang and I woke up. I was still in Alec's arm and I smile. I gently get off of him and I walk to my door.
"Hey Lis," Fin says.
"Fin! Hey!" I urgently say.
"Are you high, Lis?" Fin jokes. Fin will be so mad at Alec. "Well, are you going to let me in?"
"Yeah of course." No, not now.
"Is Laneya sleeping?" Fin asks as he starts to walk to her room. I don't answer his question.
"You want some coffee?" I quickly say as I tug his arm. "We shouldn't bother Laneya."
"Are you alright, Lis?" Fin asks.
"I am. Of course I am. Why wouldn't I?" Fin opens Laneya's door and I squint my eyes.
"Who the hell?" I hear Fin say. I quickly run into the room.
"Shh. Fin can we talk outside?" I whisper at my brother.
"You're not sleeping with that guy are you?" Fin says. I tug on his arm to take him out of the room. I lead him to the kitchen and he sits down.
I sigh. "He's Laneya's father."
Fin's eyes were filled with shock. "That's the bastard? He's dead once he meets dad," Fin tells me.
"I know, I know. I don't know what to do, Fin. I can't have Laneya fatherless. It was my fault that Alec left me."
Fin stares me down. "How long have you been seeing this Alec kid?"
"Uh- 3 months. Why?" I ask suspiciously. Fin continues to stare at me.
"Let's see. You had 8 months of pregnancy," Fin starts.
"Yeah, so what?"
"Laneya's 5 months old," Fin continues to state obvious facts. " and around that time, you were kidnapped." I suck in a breath. Fin knew.
"That bastard didn't rape you did he?!" Fin shouts.
"What no! I might have provoked him?" I say softly.
"Goodness gracious, Lis. So he is the person who kidnapped you?" Fin asks, quieter this time.
"Eh. Technically, I had many chances to escape but I fell in love with him, Fin. Before you yell at me, yes, he is a robber. A former robber. His group robbed for the needy and I know that it doesn't make it better but he has a good heart, I promise." Fin stays quiet for a long time.
"What are you going to tell dad?" Fin asks.
"I don't know," I say.
