It's been three years since the war. Life has gone back to normal and people have carried on living their lives to the fullest. But everyone is still against the Shadowhunters and Downworlders. It is said that they don't belong here and they are made of evil. From how I see it, they are our guardian angles. They are the ones who help protect us against our nightmares of monsters.

"Edith, I think it's time for us to go back to school," said Clary as she walked over to her closet and dug through it.

"Are you sure you want to do that, Clary? I mean, will you be able to take all the things everyone says about you and the mythical world?"

"Edith, I didn't take up learning how to kill demons for nothing," Clary said, dragging her back pack out of her closet and making sure she had all of her work.

"Don't make me laugh! I'm trying to be serious here!" I said as I started laughing so I hard that I tumbled off of her bed.

Her phone began to ring. It was Jace, saying that we had to gather up as many of the vampires, werewolves, warlocks, and Shadowhunters as we could and tell them to meet us on the corner of the Institute.

We were going to Idris.

Clary didn't give me the chance to ask questions. I don't think she would even know how to answer them at that time, for the world was going to be destroyed.

---------

We all arrived in Idris, with what I believe to be every single mythical creature in New York. Clary and Jace told me to come with them, to go talk to the council. After debating with them and refusing to go to the council, they told me I would either have to go by myself or go with them. After three hours of arguing, I gave in and they dragged me with them.

Next thing I knew, I was standing next to Clary in front of the frightening council. It all went by in a blur of questions, looks, and confusion. At last I asked why they wanted me here, what was going on, and what was Idris.

"We understand that you have a lot of questions at the moment, and all of them will be answered over time. All you need to know for now is that you being here..." The Consul took an unusually long pause before finishing the rest of his sentence. "...is for your own safety."

That's when I lost it. I needed answers, and I needed them now. "NO! I think I deserve some answers! For the past three years I have gotten two answers, both of them coming from Clary and Jace. I have lost my mother, my home, everything I knew was a lie and now I'm in this place, with people who started questioning me like I'm a criminal, in this country I've never even heard of all because the world is not safe, and no one will give me any answers!" I screamed at them.

I stormed out of the room, slamming the door open. Clary was calling after me, but I just ignored her. I didn't know where I went, but I stopped in front of a huge statue of an angel holding a sword in one hand and a cup in the other.

Clary came walking over, trying to talk to me, but I kept ignoring her. She put her hand on my shoulder just as I burst into tears and fell to the ground. Knowing that I would never see my mom or my family again, and that the world I knew was gone, was the worst thing ever. I didn't know how I could trust anyone again, how could I trust Clary and Jace? Clary put her hand on my shoulder and told me to come back with her, for they were going to give me the answers I so desperately wanted.

"Edith, we brought you here along with everyone else because it was no longer safe there. There was a weapons release to destroy us. They know that you know about us and that you're friends with Clary, so that caused you to be a target. Luckily for us, they don't know about Idris. You see, we aren't against mundanes. We have been saving them and fighting beside them in war. All we know is that there are fourteen kids left. We don't know if the weapons release is affecting them or not. We have to wait at least six months until it clears up, then we can send someone in to see if there are any survivors. I hope that clarifies some things for you, Edith. I'm afraid that's all the answers we have for now," the Consul said to me.
