I'm So Sorry

 "Scott will be here soon so just shoot him when he walks out here," David had said to Jeff. They were all hanging out in the backyard that evening, playing with the paintball gun.

"Dude he is going to be so pissed," Zane yelled out while laughing, making everyone else laugh. Jeff shrugged, "You do what you have to when Dave needs content."

They all heard a car door shut and they all ran to hide. David hid his camera behind the couch to get the best angle to get Scotts reaction, he then sat back on the couch so nothing looked suspicious. Zane, Heath, and Todd all ran to the side of the house out of sight. As for Jeff, he stood against the wall about 3 feet away from the door ready to shoot when Scott walked through that door.

The sound of the back door sliding open clicked in Jeff's head and he immediately shot the gun without thinking twice. He knew he fucked up when he heard a high pitched scream, it definitely wasn't Scott. He saw David jump off the couch and run to the door to check on her.

He had accidentally shot Natalie.

He ran over to her instantly, along with the other 3 guys, and crouched down next to her as she was sitting on the ground now. "I'm so sorry Nat. It was supposed to be Scott walking through the door, not you. That's still not an excuse, I'm really sorry." Jeff rambled while looking at the paint spot on her upper right arm but Natalie shook her head.

"It's okay Jeff. Don't worry about it, it was just the paintball gun." she said while putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't try comforting me now," he said while laughing, "You're the one that got shot." Natalie giggled a little bit as David came outside with a washcloth to help her clean up. Jeff watched as David wiped away the paint on her arm and as soon as he was done, he gave Natalie a hug.

"Jeff, it's really okay," she said, leaning into the hug. "I know," he said before placing a quick kiss on her forehead, leaving her blushing as he went inside.
