Wouldn't Happen

 Jeff was doing a Vlog Squad gossip video with Carly and Erin, when one said 'I really hope Jeff and Natalie get together soon.' The two girls laughed about it before reading it out loud to him.

"Would you ever date Natalie?" Erin turned and asked him as Carly added in, "Yeah, would you?" He thought about how to word his next sentence before shaking his head no.

"I wouldn't." Carly and Erin glanced at each other for a quick second because they knew they would have to put this in the video but didn't want to hurt Natalie's feelings, they knew about her feelings for Jeff. "Why?"

Jeff shrugged, "She's part of the friend group that I am in, so I feel like that would mess things up if something bad were to happen."

"So it's because she is in the friend group, not because you don't have feelings for her?" Carly asked hoping he says the right thing. He shook his head, "I don't have those types of feelings for her, I blocked her out just like I did with Corinna."

-2 Days Later-

Natalie picked up her phone after seeing that Erin was calling her, "Hey what's up?"

She heard Erin sigh before speaking, "Listen, our video with Jeff is going up today and I just wanted to warn you ahead of time." Natalie looked around her room confused before answering, "Warn me about what?"

"We talked to Jeff about something in the video about you and I don't think you're gonna like it." Natalie nodded and told her it would be okay. Not long after they hung up, she searched up Carly and Erin's latest video.

When she heard Jeff say that he doesn't feel the same way she does, her heart broke. Literally. What made it worse was that she knew he was in the living room right now hanging out with the other guys, literally a room away. Or she thought he was, he was actually about to knock on her door.

She took a minute to get herself together before she called for him to come in, not expecting it to be Jeff.

"Hey, are you okay? You said you would be back out in a minute but it's been awhile," he said coming to sit by her on the bed. She scooted over a little so there were a couple inches between them before nodding her head, "Yeah, just wanted to relax for a moment." Jeff looked at her a little more closely and noticed how her eyes were a little red, and she kept fiddling with her fingers.

"Are you sure?" he asked, "You can talk to me about it." But she just shook her head and said, "It's a girl thing, you wouldn't understand."

Jeff wasn't going to sit well with that answer though. Natalie's phone started going off like crazy in that moment with texts from Corinna and Mariah. Jeff didn't want to be nosy but he caught a glimpse of them before she flipped her phone over, he knew why she was upset now.

"Did that say she was sorry about what I said in the gossip video?" Jeff asked but there was no way Natalie would admit to that, so she just shook her head no. He continued to look at her, "That's not what it said but either way I don't want to talk about it Jeff."

"Natalie it's okay if you're upset about it, can you just tell me what I said that upset you?" She felt tears start to brim her eyes, Jeff went to put an arm around her but she moved away just in time, "If I tell you it could potentially ruin our friendship."

He wasn't stupid, he could put two and two together, and now all he could feel was guilt. "Do you like me?" he asked.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to start liking you I swear, it just started happening one day and I couldn't stop it. But now I know how you feel," she exclaimed as the tears started escaping her eyes. It hurt Jeff to have to watch her cry but he didn't know what to do, "It's okay, you can't control these things, it's not your fault." He tried comforting her from a distance not sure if it was the right time to hug her.

She nodded and asked if she could be alone right now. He sighed but agreed, gave her leg a light pat and a sad smile before walking out of her room.
