Y/n L/n's POV
It was odd, a nice kind of odd, and yet I didn't know why. Rather than a black and empty space, I was standing in the middle of a peaceful field this time. The grass beneath my feet looked greener, as if it contained the happy memories of all it has touched.
The sun peeked over the clouds, shining its golden rays of light on me and the house up ahead. The morning breeze was strong, pushing the strands of my hair behind my head as the scent of flowers lingered in the air.
"Woah!"
I looked at the source of that surprised yelp, seeing a girl with her face blurred out as she laid flat on a certain banner to prevent it from flying away. Her height was the only thing I could clearly perceive, and I must say, she's rather short.
After successfully saving it from the wind's grasp, she sighed in utter relief before continuing to decorate it. "It's a good thing we didn't lose it" She chuckled before turning to me. "Right, Y/n?"
Why does she know my name? I wanted to ask, but what came out instead was– "Yeah, we would've been in huge trouble" Why did I say that? How do I know we would've been in trouble if we lost that banner?
Questions like that filled my head, but before any of them could be answered, 8 other girls came to circle us. 9 girls in total.
9 girls I didn't know, 9 girls I'll get to know soon...
"This is why I told you to decorate it inside the house" One of them sighed, sounding like a stressed mother of 8 children.
"That terror teacher of ours is gonna chase us around the field again if you lose that banner" Another added while munching on something. Most likely food, probably a cookie judging by the size and shape of her snack.
"Y/n's beloved predecessor and our terror teacher's disciple are cleaning the house, they threw me out earlier" The girl next to me reasoned out.
"Just say their names, why are you making it sound all mysterious?" And unlike the previous speaker, the one who spoke this time was tall, towering over everyone else while crossing her arms over her chest.
"It sounds cooler that way, duh"
"Anyways!" A girl with pale skin clapped her hands to gain everyone's attention. "Let's help her out and get the job done"
"She's right. As the eldest, I command all of you to work while Y/n and I have a picnic somewhere!"
"And as the second eldest, I command you to behave!"
The eldest was forced to sit down and whine as everyone else joined in on decorating the banner.
"You can sit here, Y/n" A soft-spoken maiden tapped the space between her and another girl who welcomed me with a hug. "Alright, let's get started!" The latter announced cheerfully.
