3rd Person POV

The sound of familiar voices and incessant chattering pulled Nayeon out of her deep slumber. Her eyes fluttered open, only to close once more after the light blinded her.

"Shit..." She cursed under her breath, quiet enough to go unheard by the girls across her but loud enough to catch the attention of Sana who was next to her.

The latter gasped, alerting everyone else in the room. "You're alive!" Sana yelled, immediately jumping on her for a hug.

Nayeon groaned at the heavy weight on top of her, smacking her friend's head for tackling her so suddenly. "That hurt" She sighed when Sana only laughed at her.

"Are you feeling okay, Nayeon?" Jihyo sat next to her after freeing her from Sana's grasp.

"Yeah, I'm alright. What exactly happened?"

Since Sana was the one who spoke to Y/n yesterday, she naturally became the one who had to explain. From Nayeon joining a tournament and losing consciousness to Y/n taking care of her and bringing her back to the academy. Sana told her everything she heard from Y/n.

"Y/n helped me?"

"That's what she told me" Sana shrugged. "Do you not remember?"

Nayeon closed her eyes for a minute to dig through her memories. "I remember speaking to Y/n before I passed out, but I don't know what happened after that. Was I asleep the whole time?"

"According to her, yes. She said you've been unconscious since you inhaled that poisonous gas"

Nayeon couldn't help but feel something was off. She felt like something in her mind had been erased, but she just can't remember what it was and how it was wiped out.

She sighed and shook away those thoughts, too tired to think about something she struggled to understand. "Maybe I'm just imagining it..."

"I suggest you skip classes for today and rest up" As a healer, Mina was the one who was the most concerned about everyone's health.

She didn't want Nayeon roaming around right after waking up from a long slumber. She had to make sure the latter makes a full recovery before letting her walk freely again.

However, Nayeon was quick to disagree. "As much as I would love to do that, I can't. I have to see Y/n and thank her"

"And as much as I want to agree with that, I can't" Jihyo crossed her arms. "You're staying here"

"But" Before Nayeon could even finish, a certain someone cut her off.

"I'll do it" She stepped up with a hand raised. "I'll tell her you said thanks and how grateful we all are. That way, you don't have to get out of bed. Does that sound good?"

Nayeon looked hesitant at first. It was only natural for her to be the one who conveys her gratitude since she was the one who was saved, but the look on Jihyo's face told her she wasn't going anywhere.

Even if she tries to escape, her friends would definitely hunt her down and drag her ass back to her room. She sighed once again, accepting her defeat. "Fine..."
