AN: This chapter has spacing problems and I don't know how to fix it, but attached is a photo of Zayn looking very hot, it's related to the story and I hope it could compensate with my lack of editing. Haha.

Zayn's POV

"Dude, you're smiling from ear to ear, stop. You're creeping me out." Louis said while we were driving to my house.

"What? Remember when I had to sit through an entire month during lunch trying to endure your high energy when you realized that Edwa.. Uh, Harry liked you back and now I don't even get to enjoy one moment of pure bliss?" I said while smiling like I was Cookie Monster who just had a lifetime supply of the finest cookies in the world.

"Oh no, you're whipped. You got it bad. I just know," Louis said. "She really is different, that girl. No one could ever do that to you, not even Amanda."

"Yup. She is special." I answered. And then we were enveloped by silence.

"Have you talked to Mandy yet?" I asked Louis.

"Shouldn't I be the one who's asking you that same question?"

"I've moved on. I don't have to talk to her again."

"Look, if you really have moved on, it won't be a problem for you to talk to her. Just say hi, ask her how she's been, and if she asks, tell her how you've been like you haven't been so miserable when she left." He said as he pulled over in front of the mansion gates. We both got off the car and he hands the key over to our driver before we walked to the main door of the mansion.

Mim opened the main door and we slowly walked inside.

"Your mom's up in her office with your dad." She said.

Louis tapped my back before we started going up the stairs and into the west wing. Louis opened the door to my parents' office and there they were, both reading off their files.

"Louis, darling, you're here!" My mom told Louis as soon as she heard us enter. "And Zayn, you're finally home! How are my sons doing?" She said as she kissed our cheeks. For her, we will always be little children.

"Great, glad to know you're back." I answered. For a second I thought about asking them about my brother but I figured I shouldn't because that would only lead to them asking me about my 'plans for the future', which I didn't like to talk about.

"We'll be leaving in two days and won't be back until after a month. You okay with that?" My dad asked.

"Sure." I nodded.

Psh, as if I had a choice. I was used to being left alone in the house without parental supervision since I was young, so why pretend like you actually care?
Of course, I didn't say that out loud.

But not having parents could have its perks. You get to go home as late as you want, you don't need to ask for permission, you can bring home as many girls as you want while your parents can enjoy their business trips without you. It's a win-win situation.

"Alexander's flight arrives at 4 pm tomorrow, he's gonna meet some investors. Wanna come with him?" My mom said.

"No, I'm good." I said. It's not that I didn't wanna see my brother, it's just that anything business-related suffocates me.

And then, as if on cue, both of my parents' phones rang which was our signal to exit the room. Louis shut the door and it seemed like they didn't even notice us going out of the room.

"Have you asked Stacy for homecoming yet?" Louis asked as soon as we entered the game room. I was expecting for him to sit on the couch but instead, he headed for the bowling alley.
