The sun was shining into my groggy eyes as I stretched, trying to wake myself up. I was still wearing yesterdays clothes, they smelt of smoke and alcohol. Gosh, how drunk was I yesterday? I sat up on the side of the bed and stared for a couple of minutes. Almost falling asleep again. My phone was laying on the floor so I grabbed it, checking the time. It was eight am, I didn't even remember coming home yesterday. I stood up and grabbed some clothes, just as I was about to take off my pants I noticed something in the mirror, a girl.

"What the- ," I said quietly, looking around, confused. I probably didn't sleep with her since I was still wearing yesterdays clothes. I ran to the bathroom and grabbed some clothes, I should probably take a shower and change before I wake her up. Afterwards I went into the shower to take a burning hot shower. I really needed it right now. My head was pounding and I could barely focus. Memories started slowly coming back as the water burned on my skin.

The first thing I heard when I woke up was the shower running. A scent of smoke and alcohol filled the air around me. I looked around, trying to figure out where I was. Memories of yesterday slowly started to sink in. I was drinking a lot. But with who? Think, think. Think. But it was hard to think when you had a pounding headache. I was still wearing the clothes I wore yesterday. Shit, I remember. I had a fight with Rowan and stormed away and then this girl ran into me. We danced, and talked. Fuck, I need to get out of here.

I looked for my phone, starting to slowly panick. What happened afterwards? I finally found it underneath a pile of clothes. Probably a hundred text messages from Rowan and some from May popped up on my screen. I was just about to run to the door when I heard the bathroom door creaking. I took a deep breath, bracing myself for what was about to happen. A girl entered the room, her hair was still wet, the water dripping from it. She was wearing a pair of baggy ripped jeans and a white crop top. Her hair was set up in a high ponytail, she was wearing some chapstick on her lips and her nails were painted black. She leaned on the bathroom door, her left leg crossed behind her right leg, both of her arms behind her back.

"Hey," she said, still leaning onto the door, probably feeling a bit awkward since she avoided eye contact and just played a bit with her left leg, kicking it back and forth.

I cleared my throat, trying to pretend my pounding headache wasn't there and said "Hey there."

We both just stood there, avoiding eye contact and looked at the floor. You could cut the tension with a knife. We both didn't really know what to say each other. Eventually I decided to break the silence and said "So, yesterday was fun."
Gosh, that was so awkward, why did I say that.

"Yeah, it was," she answered, scratching her neck slightly while speaking.

"I think I gotta go now but maybe I'll see you in the future," I told her, secretely hoping I would see her again. She most certainly didn't remember that I gave her my phone number yesterday, but I remember. We were laughing, this was about ten minutes before we fell asleep on the bed. I slid a note into her pocket and told her to keep it, giving her a wink. She chuckled and said "will do."

It took me a second to realize I didn't have my car. The bus it is, I really didn't wanna spend more money on another cab. Now I just had to figure out where the bus stop was, I sighed realizing I didn't know where the fuck I was. Before I was able to go across the street I heard someone call out towards me.

"Wait, do you want a drive?"

It was Leona. "Thank god I have no idea where I am," I told her, letting out a relieved sigh and chuckled afterwards.

We headed towards her car which was parked quite far down the street. It was a calm area, surprising since it couldn't be that far away from our college. I wondered how she could afford a place like this, she can't live alone in a beautiful house like this. I didn't regonize the area so honestly I had no idea how far away from campus it was, maybe it was her parents house. We sat down in the car and she started driving.
