(well hi I'm back)
(idk how long or short this book will be so I guess just stay tuned to that)
(This isn't that bad but you know I could be lying to myself-)

Jess woke up as the sunlight poured into her bedroom, she rolled over to see what time it was. 6:45 am. A normal time Jess got up at, rubbing her eyes, she sat up and leaned against her headboard.

She had some homework and notes to complete, so why not get it all done now? After a few minutes of just relaxing, Jess knew she had to begin at some point or she would put it off and procrastinate.

Opening up her binders, she let out a sigh as she started her work, she hoped it wouldn't take her too long, homework and note taking drained her.

She put in her headphones as she started her work, it wasn't that bad, she was thanking god for giving her easier work. After a while of writing, and hand cramps, Jess had finally finished. She looked over at the time. 8:20 am. That didn't take as long as she thought it would.

Starting to tidy up her work she noticed a sticky note she had on her folder, she normally wrote these when she knew she would forgot something. Her heart stopped as she read it.

Detentions on Saturday at 8:30am :(

"Oh my god." She muttered, jumping from her bed. She quickly grabbed her stuff, throwing on her clothes as she rushed down the stairs. She hoped no one was up, Jess was normally the first one up in her family.

"Where are you off to Jessica?" Her mum asked her with a cup of coffee in hand. Jess has almost made it out without anyone noticing, her hand was inches away from the door, but it seemed her whole family was up the early for whatever reason today.

"I'm going to-" Jess paused, she couldn't tell her parents she had detention, especially with Chloe around. "An extra study club."

A beaming smile was on her dad's face. "That's great Jessica! Enjoy!" Jess looked at Chloe, a skeptical look on her face. Jess knee she would get away with it for a while, Chloe can never be bothered to meddle.

"Thanks."

Jess sped walked to the school car park, quickly rushing to main steps that led to the main entrance. Opening the first door, Jess tried the second one to let her actually inside the school, it wasn't budging, not one bit.

It would most definitely be locked, and since the office staff wouldn't be working, they probably only kept it open for a while to let in her fellow detention comrades. Jess let out a loud sigh as she tried the buzzer, hoping someone would answer.

"That was a sad attempt at opening the door." A voice scoffed from behind her:

Jess spun around quickly, startled by the voice. She was met with the one person she hoped it wouldn't be. "What?" She whispered.

"You didn't even try." Ollie moved past her, trying to open it himself. After a few attempts, he realised it wasn't going to budge. "Why isn't it opening?"

"Cause it's a Saturday and the office staff doesn't work at the weekend." Jess explained to him.

He let a loud sigh before the awkward silence ensued, she wasn't sure why it was awkward with him though? "Can't believe Jessica Chapman has got detention." Ollie smirked at her. "How did you get it?"
