Jess and Ollie walked to school that day after Ollie's brother found out that he used his car yesterday, Jess felt bad that he got into trouble but Ollie brushed it off as no big deal. They climbed up the steps to the front door. "So where are we having detention today?" Jess asked.

(i've just realised they are always late to detention these two- wELL NOT LIKE LATE BUT NEVER THERE FIRST AND IVE MADE JESS SEEM LIKE SHE'S ALWAYS ON TIME BUT CLEARLY NOT AJNWAIWI)

"Gym hall again, Ivy has another game to play." Ollie told her, Jess was confused as to how he knew that before her but she wasn't going to question it.

(like there's no secret reason he just knows ok)

"Oh come on!" Jess huffed. "These always end in disaster!"

"One did and we've only ever done two, you're making it sound like we've done loads." Ollie laughed.

"Yeah, well the first one made me feel so awkward afterwards because everyone was shocked I shouted at him." Jess explained. "And it feels like we've done loads."

"But you've changed since then." Ollie reminded her.

"What?" Jess raised a brow.

"You're a lot more confident now." Ollie nodded.

"That's just with us and friends." Jess quietly told him. "I'm still not confident in class."

"You said 'no' to Mr Clove, the headteacher." Ollie raised both brows.

"Yeah but I was playing a character." Jess rolled her eyes.

"A character? It was still you." Ollie furrowed his brows.

(did she lie tho)

"No, that was all the years spent with Georgia taking over me." Jess shook her head, Georgia had been helpful in some aspects. Same with Alicia and Nat, but the one of the only things she learnt from the latter was never take any drugs.

(nat be taking all drugs 😎🤠✨if you remember reading from my books i did mention before she smoked or something so yeah she's THAT bitch)

"You picked up a lot." Ollie raised a brow.

"Try spending almost every single day with her for three years." Jess laughed. "Easy to know what to do."

"Well you must be proud that I've been able to change a little." Ollie smiled at himself, clearly happy he had made changes to himself.

"Yep, the subtle change of you taking a car to school instead of that bike is impressive." Jess smiled at him, she really was proud of him. "And you've lowered your amount of cigarettes a day, again very impressive."

"Thank you." Ollie nudged her. "Now you ready to see what game Ivy has for us?"

Jess sighed as the couple continued up the corridor. "Not at all."
