Innocence of Muslims
(Zara's POV)
I walked towards my Religious class. Though Mr. Bernard was a decent man, I sometime had this urge to quip something when he taught about beliefs of various religions. Sometime I did say what I thought about certain topics and he would listen, that was his plus.
“Hey loser,” the sarcastic voice of Mandy Hale greeted me. I was paired with Julian, Mandy, Lilith, Simon and such breeds in religious class. There are only four or five nicer people here and Anna was one of them. My two good friends, Alana and Hannah are in this class too. This was the only class I had with them.
I ignored her as I slumped next to Alana. We smiled at each other before she started talking about some recent gossip with Annalise. I tuned them out as I stared at the board with a bored frown.
When Mr. Bernard entered in, I sighed relieved. If he entered soon, then the class would be over soon too.
“So, guys,” He started. We keenly listened.
“Today you have two hours here, so I am going to let you write an essay.”
“About?” Henry Kolbe, one of the few nicest boys around asked. He had this thick glasses and he looked like a genius in disguise. His brain was as sharp as a razor.
“Innocence of Muslims.” He said and the noisy clamor in the class died down.
“What about it?” Simon sneered. He was probably someone who thought the film was not so bad. Maybe he had even liked it on the YouTube, who knows!
“Write whatever you want to write, but be open-minded, be vigilant; this is your first assignment, and the instant one; if you do great, there’s a great possibility that you’ll pass.”
I silently watched them. Alana furiously opened her note book and started writing. I knew she hated that film to core and she was going to call every name at the one who created the film. I smiled. She was so nice and understanding. Next to Alana, Hannah whispered to Anna: “If I ever saw that b*stard who produced the film, I am so going to dump cow dung on his face.” I snickered along with Anna.
“So, you can start.” When Mr. Bernard slump on his seat, I opened my note book and started writing.
