Chapter 10. The shirk (Associating Partners with Allah)
"... If you associate (partners with Allah), surely your deeds will be made of no effect and you will certainly be of the losers." (39:65)
It was two days after that meeting with Mr. Russell. I was currently sitting with my Aunt's neighbor who seemed so in love with the Graves of great (Dead) Saints and pray Through them. She had been talking about this grave she visited while travelling to south, like India and Pakistan, and I was like 'What in the world?'
It still made em feel bad to think that some Muslims still didn't know the concept of Islam. They were all like "I am a Muslim.' But some of them didn't know the basic of Islam. Being a Muslim wasn't an easy thing, it was one of the most challenging deeds. You should follow every minute detail to be in that religion and that was the test for true Muslims.
"But it isn't like I pray to these. I just ask them to ask for me, to be a mediator between me and Allah, to be a mean to get closer to Allah."
"Asthag' Firullah! Are you creating a mediator to approach the Creator of these people? Who give you permission to do these deeds, Aunty?" I exclaimed, placing a hand in my chest.
"There is nothing like Him and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. (42:11). Allah is the All-hearer, so why do you need a telephonic connection to reach Him? This is one of the major sins, Auntie. I don't know what make you think that this is something permissible. It's forbidden and any Muslims who do the deed of associating partners are simply not a Muslim." I explained further and she looked shocked.
"Girl, don't say things like that!" She said, as she looked thoroughly distressed.
"DO you know the basic pillars of Islam Auntie?"
"Of course I know, I am older than you girl." She answered defiantly. I pushed my face inside my palms and sighed. This wasn't about age; this was about a religion that was a way of Life. Islam was so simple to understand, yet, even Most of the Muslims Misunderstood the life of Islam.
"This isn't about age Auntie. Allah ordered us to spread the knowledge, and that's a charity. So here I am spreading what I know Auntie. Don't be offended." I said patiently. The woman in her mid-forties, named Faradh nodded. It was then her 15 year old daughter came there and sat next to me with a smile.
"I am here to listen, Zara datha." She said and I nodded at her.
""The prophet ﷺ said, "I leave you with two things. If you abide by them you will never be led astray, and that is the Quran and hadith." So that's what is important. Al Qur'an and the Hadith form the basic guidance in the lives of Muslims in each and every day. Islam is the easiest religion to follow, as everything is made easier for a man to understand. There is no hidden idealism, no difficult interpretations. Everything is as clear as a day in Islam. All we have to do is grasp the truth and follow them till the death."
