ELIANA
Shit! My arms are tired and I'm still not done with this basketball game. I think I haven't stopped shooting for the past hour, am I that good of a shooter? Nah, just kidding.
"I don't mean to be rude, but you kinda suck." I turned towards the person who spoke ill about my skills. I saw an unfamiliar teenager looking back at me.
"You just hurt my feelings, stranger," I said, faking a crying face.
"Oh. I'm so sorry, I was just trying to start a conversation. I didn't mean to upset you." She said looking concerned.
"Oh. Uh. You didn't, I was just messin' with you."
She sighed, looking relieved. "Sorry, again. I'm Ashley by the way." Stretching a hand towards me.
I let go of the ball and accepted her hand, "Eliana. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, too." She smiled and lightly shook my hand.
"Are you alone?" I asked.
"Yep. My dad's at work and my sister's at home."
"Friends?" I asked again.
"I'm kinda new here so, I have zero friends." She said, averting her gaze to the videogame next to me.
"That kinda sucks, but if it's okay with you, I'll be your friend." I smiled at her.
She looked at me and smiled, "Cool, you're cool."
"I'm gonna go and buy a milkshake before I go home, do you wanna come?" I said, pointing towards The Coffee Bean next to the arcade.
"Sure! I planned to go there, but you kinda distracted me." She let out a laugh and motioned for me to go first.
We quietly walked towards The Coffee Bean. As we entered the café, the sweet aroma of coffee beans hit my nose. We're kinda lucky because it's not crowded today. We approached the counter and was greeted with a smile by the employee. Ashley quietly scanned the menu and the dessert bar, I think she's not sure of what she would eat.
"If you like chocolate, you should choose the chocolate mud cake or if you like fruits I suggest you choose the strawberry one." said the employee, I looked at her nameplate, then whispered her name to Ashley.
Ashley smiled at her, "Thank you, uh, Sophia."
"You're welcome, ma'am. Are you ready to order now?" She asked us.
"Yes, uh, I'm gonna go with one chocolate mud cake, one strawberry cake and a mint chocolate milkshake," she said, then looked at me.
"Matcha milkshake for me and a strawberry chocolate cake," I said.
"We'll serve your orders in a minute." She said then smiled.
We turned around and looked for a table. We settled for a table just beside the windows. The weather is great and the street's quiet with a few vehicles passing by. I looked at Ashley, she has unique brown eyes that shines, a mole on her upper right eyebrow, pale lips, cute nose. I think she dyed her hair, it has a mix of brown and black.
"Is there something on my face?" She said interrupting my train of thoughts.
"No, I was just thinking. So why'd you move here?"
"Um, it's kinda complicated." She said and I sensed that she's uncomfortable so, I didn't push her any further.
"Here are your orders, girls. Do you want anything else or are you good?" Sophia, the friendly employee said.
