Chapter 6: Sneaking Out

MEGANS POV

I cut Jessica off by closing the door. I walked down to my room and went in. I took all my covers off the bed and gatherd up some pillows and clothes to chuck under the covers. The old bat that runs this place never even checks on us, but I do this just incase. After I was finished with my "Art project" I changed into a LA t-shirt and some black shorts. I slipped on my converse nad slipped my phone and charger into my draw string backpack. Im Praying that she was getting ready so we could go. She could be stubborn and a pain in the ass but i love her. Tbh I would let her go to hang out with shawn and the guys but I want to make sure she stays there and has a good time. 

I looked over at my room making sure the decoy loked ok and walked out the door and locked it. We werent supposed to lock it, but hey. If you give me a lock, imma use it. I walked down to Jessicas room and knocked, hoping she would quickly answer the door so I wouldnt get caught. She quickly opened the door and i zoomed inside and shut the door behind me. I looked over at Jessica and thank god she was dressed  and ready to go. I guess she already knew that there was no point resisting. She was going to see Shawn.

then I looked over at her bed. "Jess, you didnt even set up a decoy." She shrugged and I rolled my eyes. I grabbed some of her extra pillows and shoved them under the blanket. I stepped back and looked at the figure. I shrugged my shoulders.  "Good enough," I turned to face Jess, "ready to go?" She shyly nodded and I smiled. "Were not gonna get caught. I promise." "You sure?" "99.9% sure. Now, lets go!" I grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her out of her room. We cautiously walked down the hallways, and went down the staircase instead of elavator. We stopped at the bottom of the staircase. The door was right there. I turned to face Jess. She was looking at me and I was looking at her. I whispered, "We bolt for the door on 3," She nodded. "1...2.....3!" And me and her bolted off the staircase a flew out the door and down the block.

When we stopped running I was out of breath. "Ok....so....," I said trying to regain my breath, "where are we um, meeting the guys?" She fiddled around in her bag, trying to find her phone. She unlocked her phone and went onto her messages. "Umm, at the peir." She said and looked at me. I nodded and started walking down the block.

"You excited to see them?" She nodded and added, "I ship you and Matt." I could feel the blush growing on my cheeks. I didnt say anythin. I just looked ahead of me. "You and Shawn would be pretty cute tbh." I said and she looked at me and smirked, "I know we would." I rolled my eyes and noticed we were only a short distance from the peir.
