A/N: so yeah, I just checked out the Child's Play remake, and holy hell is it dark and kinda fucked up in a few short places.

This technically counts as a review (so that's on me for not bringing it up before hand in a previous page).
Well, I guess I should do my stuff.
Pros:
*Chucky was still a pretty frightening character even if he wasn't a doll possessed by a serial killer this time. A Doll who kills if his best friend is hurt or he just wants to be the only friend for someone can be terrifying.
*Mark Hamill did a fantastic job at voicing Chucky in this film.
*Andy and his mom were probably some of the best and pretty relatable characters to an extent.
*Surprisingly, this film's jumpscares actually worked.
*The Soundtrack gave a very creepy and ominous score.
*The Kills in this film were pretty creative.
*Chucky having control over other products really added up to the tension and horror of what chucky could do.
*The Attack Scene in the Mall was fucking bonkers (I mean, a god damn bear version of chucky for gods sake).
*Seeing Andy finally gain real friends after the fight with Chucky and moving on from him.
Cons:
*The Mother's boyfriend was probably as the most average asshole as you could get.
*There were certain cuts where it felt like they didn't need to happen (like when they were wrapping up the head).
*Chucky's glowing finger felt a little too ET, if you catch my drift.
*Andy and Chucky's relationship in the film felt a little shaky too me where it just didn't feel all that emotional.
7/10. A pretty solid remake and while it's not near the original's level, it's still a pretty entertaining Horror film and it's certainly a more enjoyable film than the seed, curse and cult of chucky films.
