A/N: I've heard many people say that Goku's Super Saiyan Hair design in the Frieza Saga was the peak of the design for the form. But, I'll be honest, I don't really think so.

I have nothing against this design. But, I don't think it was the peak of the Super Saiyan hair design. To me, the lack of any sort at least a few lines in the hair just makes it seem a like he's growing a bunch of yellow spikes out of his head rather than his hair changing color and standing up.
Personally I think that the Android/Cell Saga version was the peak of the Super Saiyan Hair design.

It doesn't have too many spikes in the hair and there's not all too many lines. Just a few to where it still makes it feel like hair rather than having none at all. It's also got a little more fluffy design to it as well while the Frieza Saga version got a bit of a horn thing in certain spots.
Honestly, it was a good thing shintani went with a design similar to the look similar to the Cell Saga rather than the Frieza saga since in the Broly Movie, it has the same things I like about the Cell Saga while also keeping the fluffy look to it.
