I woke up around noon the next day. It was rainy and nasty out. Rain always put me in a crappy mood. I went on my computer to scroll through Tumblr.
“Dani, Jake is here to see you” Maddi yelled up.
Shit, I was still in my pajamas. I probably looked like crap.
“Tell him to wait like 10 minutes” I yelled back down, going to my closet. I decided to wear a white t-shirt that said, “I’m not a morning person” and galaxy leggings. I decided to throw my hair in a messy bun and but on a pair of pink nerdy glasses. (To see the outfit go to- http://www.polyvore.com/hanging_with_jake/set?id=138263745 )
I went downstairs to be greeted by Jake sitting on the couch watching TV.
“Hey Dani” he said, turning towards me.
“Hey, do you wanna come up to my room” I said.
“Keep the door open” Maddi yelled out from the kitchen. I could feel my cheeks heating up, so I quickly turned around and went to my room.
“Well, this is my room” I said, walking in and sitting on my black couch.
“Sweet chair” Jake said, sitting down in my black and white orbit chair.

“So, what do you want to do?” I asked.
“Do you have Netflix? We could watch a movie or something” Jake said.
“Of course” I said, grabbing the remote. I turned on the TV and went to Netflix.
“What do you want to watch?” I asked.
“Can we watch a scary movie” Jake asked. What is up with guys and wanting to watch scary movies?
“Absolutely not” I practically yelled.
“Fine” he fake whined, “how about White Chicks” he said excitedly.
(Btw White Chicks is my all-time favorite comedy. If you haven’t seen it go watch it right now.)
“Yes I love that movie” I yelled, typing it into the Netflix search bar. I pressed the play button and got comfortable on the couch.
“I’m hungry” Jake moaned, right before the movie started.
“Fine, I will go make some popcorn” I said, pausing the movie.
Jake followed me down to the kitchen. Maddi was doing dishes and Jake sat down at the breakfast bar.
“Hi guys” Maddi said, cheerfully.
“Hi” I said, getting the popcorn out of the cupboard.
“Hello, Mrs. Mendes” Jake said, formally. Earning a strange look from me.
“Oh, just call me Maddi. No need to be formal” Maddi said, throwing me a quick glance.
Maddi and Jake continued chatting while I made the popcorn and gathered some other snacks. I picked up on bits and pieces of their conversation. They were mostly talking about Jake’s family.
“Let’s go” I interrupted, grabbing some of the stuff. Jake grabbed the rest of the stuff from the counter. We walked up to my room and we set everything down on the coffee table.
“Ok, we have, popcorn, potato chips, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, and some M&M’s.” I said, placing everything carefully in order on the table. I pressed play and we started watching the movie. Jake went straight for the chips and I grabbed the Gatorade.
