Katelyn ... I need to tell you something .."

His face is suddenly all serious, and I have a terrible feeling something is going to happen. I don't like this, not one bit, and I close my eyes lightly as he begins to speak.

"You ... know that I like you. And if I had the choice, I would've never wanted to meet you." He says, and my eyes fly open, full of surprise, but before I can say anything, he carries on. "All the people that come here ... don't meet a good fate. Well, not so far anyways ..." He starts to lead me down the corridor slowly, as if he doesn't want this walk to end. "I truly wish that this fate will not be your fate, and that you will live on to see me again in the near future, but I really can't promise anything. Katelyn, you mean the world to me, but I have a promise to fulfil to someone who could end my life in a heartbeat, and I cannot let that happen ..." He pauses in front of the entrance I saw him use a week ago, and sighs, dropping my hand and looking away from me.

"You say I'm important ... that I mean the world to you ... yet you'd give my life to some ... guy ..?" I say. Looking at him as he avoids my gaze.

"No." He says firmly, picking up his blade. "I can explain when we're in there Katelyn. But right now, you need to trust me. Please" He says, and a few beats later, when a blanket of silence has covered us, he slashes the blade through his palm. I wince. He does not. He scrapes his hand against the stone wall and looks at me, offering his hand out. "Trust me Katelyn. Please." I take it, and I don't object.

We walk into the room, but this time it's very different. From this angle, the room seems very ominous and scary, a thin layer of mist covering the floor, the room cold as ice. I shiver, Travis keeps his distance from me, and he stops in front of the display case labelled "Menphia the Fury" He sighs and looks over at me, beckoning me over. I obey, scared of what might happen if I don't.

"Meet Menphia" He says, pulling the relic out of it's case and showing me a photo of this serious faced girl, who can't be more than 20 years old. She's breath-taking in reality though. The lighting flatters her, and her smile is bright as she does a silly pose for whoever is doing the photo. Hell, I didn't even think you could take photos here.
Her hair is a glossy brown that falls straight down her back, the tips dyed a light ginger colour. Her eyes are the brightest purple I've seen on someone, and they sparkle as if she was standing right in front of me, alive right now. Her skin is the most exotic chocolate brown I've ever seen on someone, and there is a golden band circling the top part of her arm, like the ancient goddesses used to wear. She's wearing a simple white dress, and a white flower crown, and there's someone behind her wearing the same exact outfit. I let out a small breath. Travis chuckles lightly. She was absolutely breath taking.

"Menphia is part of the ancient group that called themselves the 'Divine Warriors'. She was the Fury as she had a lust for blood on the battlefield. She was a typically young warrior for what she was, and being a girl, makes her achievements very admirable in this world. Menphia was only 15 when she was appointed general in The War of Tu'la and successfully lead her battalion into battle. And she was also well known - and feared - as having characteristics like Ares, or Mars. It was believed that she was a descendant of the ancient warrior God, but no one knows anything about her. For example, no one but Irene - and I think Enki, but not as deep - knows of her past. Where she comes from. What she's really like. Her parents. Stuff like that." He smiles slightly while setting the photo back down. "She's Greek though. Her origin is Greek. That's  the one thing I know for certain ... what I know." He walks towards me as I slowly back away from him, he sighs softly, looking at me with slight sympathy in his eyes. "Katelyn ... Menphia needs someone to be a host to her relic for her. And it's you that she wants. You're the best match. Will you let me?"

"What's in it for me?" I say, taken aback at how quick this is happening.

"You get to be immortal. You can be with me in this, for I'm Enki's host. You're fighting skills are good now, but imagine how they'll be when you're her. You'll still have your body as Menphia's is long dead. She'll just be there in her relic with you"

I think for a long period of time, silence draping over us once again. I finally look up at him. "Fine. But if I die, I'm haunting you forever. And you'll owe me new armour and a new sword. That's my price" I tilt my head slightly, and he sighs, but nods. He holds the relic out to me, and I take it in my hands. He sucks in a breath, but nothing happens. His face is pale as it slowly absorbs inside of me. I wait for the bleeding, or maybe headache that would kill me. But nothing happens. I watch him smile as his face slowly lights up in joy. I frown as I feel something change. He hands me a mirror and I look at myself and gasp. My eyes are a soft violet colour. Menphia's mixed in with mine. I look back at Travis, but his eyes are silver, he's still smiling brightly.

"Welcome home . . . Menphia"

Should I end it here? Or should I carry this on and let the plot explain itself? As usual, if you got down this far, leave a comment on your opinion of this chapter (maybe even feedback on how to make it better) and maybe even drop me a vote and a follow to keep up with any new content I may have *wink wink*
