After Stark had left Margaret just sat at the table without getting up. The rest of the people in the home had followed the man out the door as he'd left similar to a guard of honour for a king or queen even though it was nearing eleven o'clock at night. No way in hell was the girl going to get up and follow him out like he was some god or something.

Stark had told her they would be leaving early next morning and had advised her to pack a bag with essentials. The redhead was confused by in which context as what to define essentials by. she didn't have anything anyway so it really didn't matter

The only reason Margaret was going to help him was in order to see her family again. She had to because nothing compared to the emptiness she felt without them. she wondered what they would have done once they had come to terms with her disappearance. how long did they look?

Maybe she shouldn't have run away, she could have been back at home staring at the fire as they all argued. she could have just not told them about her unfortunate meeting with the banshee and be with them, safe and sound. Instead, she was going to fight in some dangerous conflict that may or may not get her killed just so she could attempt to find a way that may or may not exist to find them again. Cad é a chaitheann caic tarbh. (What utter bullshit).

All of the kids that had followed the billionaire out the door came stumbling into the kitchen one after another including Jackie. They all held a look of wonder, after meeting a man they admired so greatly.

"What did he want with you?!" one of the many voices in the kitchen questioned. The voice seemed so unfathomably accusing. Instead of asking politely for the reason behind his appearance at their shelter the voice had put an awfully mean emphasis on 'you'.

She didn't know how to respond evidently not wanting to hint to her mutated genetics. So the girl decided to just not answer the many questions being flung at her as it was obvious to her that Jackie had the answers under control. The Latina woman told everyone to be quit as she confirmed a few of their suspicions while shunning others to the side.

Margaret walked up each step carefully. Had she really thought everything through? Yes. The girl had worried so much about everything that if anything else were to raise her stress levels slightly higher she might just explode.

Her newest friends had in fact not joined the parade of people who had swarmed her and Stark as he'd left in substitute for obeying Wendy's orders and staying on the higher level of the home while the man talked with Margaret.

She stalked into their ever sitting room and sat down on her bed while enthusiastic movement occurred around her. The four girls formed a circle around the redhead. They didn't pester her with questions, though they wanted to,

Well until Jane spoke up "okay We can't just sit here and act like TONY STARK DIDN'T JUST COME TO TALK TO YOU!" she had shouted the last bit rather loudly. If Margaret had done the same she may have burst some of her friend's eardrums. "Why!?"

"I-" at that moment she really couldn't think of anything to say. Did everyone know starks associates had enhancements as well? Or was that just something he had told Margaret?

They were hanging on her every breath which was giving the girl slight anxiety. She then remembered something Jackie had said something about an internship?

"I applied for an internship with him and was accepted," she said bluntly. Margaret honestly didn't know what an internship was but thought it should make sense. "Yeah"

"Oh my god! Really!?" Margot said as Meabh's, Abby's and Janes's mouth slowly grew open, wide enough to fit a garden hose.

"Your soooooooo lucky!" Meabh whined to the girl jealously.

The redhead eternally scoffed at the world lucky considering the attendance record of "good fortune" over the last few days.

"Do you know how many people get accepted into his internships?!" Abby questioned clearly knowing the answer.

"No, how many Abs?" Jane said sarcastically obviously not caring if an answer was given or not.

Abby didn't seem to notice the sarcasm in her sister's voice and continued. "Near to no one! You must be extremely smart!"

Extremely smart huh? the redhead knew the real reason she was in contact with Tony stark and it was not because of her brains, more her hair. "Uh yeah!"

"Then you're absolutely going to get into midtown with us when we apply!" Abby said joyfully, Margot smiling happily beside the girl. If only they knew.

"Hopefully!" Margaret tried to seem excited but just didn't have any more willpower to keep up the act. It was nearing twelve and if she didn't get some sleep that night she may never wake up. Her new friends had seemed to drop the excitement about Tony stark when they started having another conversation. Meabh got up to leave the room, something about Carter breaking up with a boy. She hastily made her way through the door and the room was then left with four occupants.

"I'm going to go to sleep now, the internship starts tomorrow!" A fake enthusiasm followed her statement as she pulled the warm covers over her freezing body.

"Really?!"Jane asked. Margot told her to shut up as she could she the redhead getting under the covers.

"Okay goodnight"

"Night"

She didn't even bother to change. The girl just fell asleep in the hope that when she woke, nothing bad would actually have happened and it was in reality just a big bad dream.
