She awoke to the soft sound of classical music echoing through a hospital room. Small tubes we're attached to her hands and arms and there was one strung across her face. Startled, but knowing better than to pull the deeply injected objects out of her skin, Margaret opened her eyes and lazily pulled herself up in the bed.

There were nurses and doctors all around her as she lay in a large ward full of many other patients. Beside her a large silhouette sat bent into a fetal position, looking to be asleep.

"you're awake!" one of the nurses said brightly spotting her and grabbing an extra pillow almost out of thin air. She leant forward, allowing the woman to place it behind her and then lay back slowly.

"Thanks"

The person who sat in the visitor's chair snorted loudly and woke up. It was Happy.

"Oh thank god, I can go home" he mumbled as he stood up. Happy reached into his back pocket and pulled out a phone beginning to dial a number on it as he trotted.

He walked away and a nurse pulled a curtain around her bed while another checked her pulse. From afar she could hear muffled arguing. The silhouette of a Doctor with his arms outstretched either side of him and four people trying to get past was briefly caught by Margaret's eye.

The girl was really groggy and her vision hadn't fully returned itself to her, so she couldn't make out anything farther than an arms length away , properly. She must have really outdone herself and didn't plan on doing any more for a while.

"You have to let us see her!" A familiar voice argued.

"I'm sorry but only family members and guardians are allowed in!" A doctor responded still attempting to keep back the people. Margaret could not see who it was that was shouting but she sort of knew.

"Can you let them in?" Her weak throat murmured to the nurse next to her, who was jotting down her vitals." They're um- my cousins"

The woman gave her a disbelieving look but complied. "Pat just let them in". The man stepped aside and in walked Margot, Abby Ross, Meabh and Jane.

"Maggie!". Jane and Abby rushed forward and gave her a gentle hug.

"What the hell happened?" Margot questioned eyeing the multiple tubes around the girl.

"I-Uh-I was just really tired" She lied. "And I fainted"

"Seriously?" Meabh asked. "What kind of work did they had you doing!?"

They all laughed for a brief moment. To think, she'd spent only two days with the girls and they already were some of the best friends she'd ever had.

"So did you meet any of the avengers?" Jane winked. Her and Abby were to the right of Margaret sharing the chair Happy had previously been sitting on. Meabh stood at the end of the bed whereas Margot had decided to use a plastic bin as asubstitute for proper seating.
