The doors open with a loud screeching noise as a woman enters the room. In her arms is a child. A human girl no older than a year. The girl is sleeping as the woman slowly makes her way to the kings and kneels before them. "This child was found in our garden. We don't know how she got there nor do we knew who put her there. She is just a nameless being. What do you wish to do with her? Shall I dispose of her?"
Through all of this the woman was staring at the floor. She didn't dare to meet the eyes of the kings. Yet she couldn't resist the instinct to look up when Aro started laughing his creepy laugh. "A human child? In our gardens? Now I have heard it all." The king got up from his throne and made his way to the woman. "It is the truth, my King..." "I believe you. It would be foolish to lie to us over something so... small." He took the still sleeping child out of the woman's arms and looked at the small girl. "So fragile... So pure... What to do with her brothers?" He turned his gaze to the other two kings.
"I say we get rid of it. What use will it be to us?" Caius says. His voice cold and emotionless. He didn't feel anything for this child. The sad king on the other hand slowly rose form his throne and walked up to Aro. "I would like to raise the child. I see great potential in this girl. Think of what we can make of her, brother." "You want to do what?! Marcus, you want to keep a human being here? How foolish of you." "As foolish as it might seem to you... no, as foolish as it might be, I won't back down. I would like to raise this child." "Hmm... Sorry Caius, no killing small children for you today." He hands the child over to Marcus. "She will be your problem then." The sad king nods and leaves the room with the child still in his cold arms.
He takes her to his quarters and wraps the child in more blankets so she stays warm. After all, that is something he no longer needs to do. Does he even remember what it was like being alive? It has been so long... He might kill her with his lack of knowledge of what a child needs before his bloodlust even forms a problem. Yet a soft smile forms on his face. "Could you be the reason I am still alive? After Didyme died... I no longer had a reason to live but now that you are in my life, I feel like this is about to change."
Big green eyes look up at his own cold, dead and red ones. Yet the child smiled at him. She wasn't frightened at all. This made the kings' smile grow. "Now what to name you... How about..."
