Hello father.

The night before the meeting with the kings was cold and I was really grateful for Lea being around me. She was hot!

Even after Benjamin lit the campfire, I kept shivering and she came to my rescue. I was sitting between the twins and neither of them was giving me any heat. The others were telling war stories but they bored me. I wasn't interested in fighting a battle.

After I shivered for a couple of minutes, I felt warmth behind me and looked up to see Lea standing behind me. "Is the princess cold?" She teased me and I simply pouted at her. My arms crossed and my lips slightly blue. To my surprise it was Jane who got up from her seat, catching everyone else their attention. "You're warm. Why don't you make yourself useful, dog?" "I might just do that, leech." They hissed at each other yet Lea took Jane's spot without hesitation and I snuggled against her body. "Ooh, god... you're so warm." She snorted softly as she wrapped her arms around me. "I thought it was well known that I'm hot."

Everyone else was watching the scene and I noticed Jacob's wide eyes as he watched us. Jane sat down beside Alec and watched me and Lea with jealousy in her eyes. She is just too cute sometimes. Alec seemed to be more okay with this situation as being warm made me happier.

"Ella... I never got to thank you for helping my brother." Emmet stood in front of me and I smiled up at him. He chuckled softly and kneeled down in front of me and Lea. "You are an easy one to please, aren't you?" I glanced at the people around me and noticed them still watching us. Uneasiness filled my systems as I started fidgeting. Lea growled softly at the vampires watching us and pulls me closer to her body. "It's funny though. You're the princess yet crowds make you uncomfortable." "Not crowds itself... Wanting to talk in a crowd makes her uneasy." Jane corrects her for me and I give her a small grateful smile.

Emmet chuckles softly and ruffles my hair. "Will you be okay, tomorrow?" I nod and grin at him, my heartbeat nice and slow. I'm not lying. "Time to leave her alone, Cullen. The princess needs her beauty sleep." Lea teases once again and I bite her neck in response. She yelps and pulls me away from her neck. "The hell?! What was that for?!" I giggle softly and move myself closer to her once again as I relax against her. Sleep doesn't make me wait long.

The morning came and I woke up while laying on something soft, turns out I was laying on Lea's back. "Morning..." I mumble softly and she gives me a soft whine in return. We are nearing a clearing and I get off her back the moment she stops walking. "Thanks, fluffy pillow" I whisper in her ear before I make my way over to Jane and Alec. Edward is with his family, Emmet is hugging Rose and the other vampires are scattered around. The wolves are standing around between the vampires while Lea sticks to my side like glue. Guess she really took a liking to me, huh?

"The redcoats are coming!" I hear a duo of vampire's yell as my hood gets pulled over my head and face by Jane. She and Alec are wearing their own hoods but the necklaces give away that we are from the Volturi. Father will recognize me anyway so I don't see the point... but if it makes them happy, I'll wear the damn hood.

Not long after the shout do they come into sight. The Volturi stands in front of the small group of vampires and wolves. Yet the moment Aro opens his mouth to speak is when I stop paying attention. Instead I play with Lea's fur.

"Now you wouldn't happen to know where our princess went, do you?" Aro asks the new family and Edward turns his gaze to me. 'Go ahead. I'm not trying to hide.' "She is right there." I pull off my hood and take a step forward. Earning growls from 3 people.

The moment Aro notices me is when he laughs his creepy laugh. I shiver slightly and slowly walk up to him. Lea moves to follow me but I hold up my hand, signaling her to stay behind. Jane and Alec do join me till we covered half the distance. I stop walking and wait for Aro to make a move.

"Felix, Demetri... retrieve our princess." The two guards flash over to us but they won't move to touch me. Alec and Jane are too much of a protective force. "I said, bring her over!" "Sir... we are loyal to her as well..." "Yet I am your king!"

'Okay Ella... time to do what we were waiting for. Let's skip this drama party and get it over with. You just... need to talk. Just open your mouth and say it. Say his darkest secret. It's not that hard... Not that hard... Oh who am I kidding? I'm terrified!' "Ella, breath." Edward calls out to me and take a deep breath. He's right after all.

"You... are one of the kings. There is my father and uncle Caius as well." Aro hisses at me. "Your time away has changed your attitude for the worse." I shake my head. "I never liked you. I didn't want you to know my secrets but maybe I'll show you what I know if you ask nicely." I hold out my hand for him, waiting for him to come to me. Which is considered disrespectful.

No matter how angry he is at me it isn't enough to win from his curiosity. He flashes over to me and takes my hand. Having him in my head feels weird. I focus on when I died. Those memories I have been trying to forget since I was reborn. I have to dig deep and hard but I need to show him... show him my previous life and use it against him.

After a few seconds he releases my hand and takes a step back. "That can't be true! Those aren't your memories!" "Yet they are, uncle... I was reborn and it is time the Volturi does the same." "You insolent, little..." "Brother, that is still my daughter." My father flashes over and pulls me away from Aro, hiding me behind his broad back. "Then raise her better!" They are nearly growling at each other.

"How lovely of you to join us in the conversation, father. How about I tell you a little secret?" I take a step back and speak loud enough for everybody on the field to hear me. "Did you know that uncle Aro killed his own sister? That he killed your mate? Just to stop you from leaving the Volturi. He would kill me just as easily. Everything for his little game of power." My heart is pounding against my chest yet I keep my back straight. I can't be weak now.

"How dare you tell such lies?!" Aro's angry voice breaks the silence that followed my statement. "Are they lies though?" "Of course, they are!" "They were planning on running away yet you couldn't lose father. So, you took away the one thing that was strong enough to pull him away from you, your own sister, Didyme."

Meanwhile father was just standing between us, listening and debating on who was speaking the truth. "The timing was perfect... it would make sense." "You would believe this little witch her lies?!" Aro yells at my father and grabs his shoulders, trying to shake some sense into him. It isn't working though as puzzle pieces fall into place for father. He is connecting the dots.

"I would believe her. She has always known many things she shouldn't have known yet she never lied to anyone. Instead she decided to be quiet. She chose silence over lying so why would that change now?"

Aro clearly didn't know how to change my father's mind so instead he turned to Demetri and Felix. "Seize him! We will deal with him later" But they didn't move from beside me. "I said seize him!" They both looked at the ground and didn't move a muscle.

"Didyme was a beautiful and kind creature. Her death was the saddest thing that ever happened to the Volturi. As your king I command you to seize the suspect known as Aro Volturi." Uncle Caius decided to speak up and his command was answered when multiple vampires came forward and started dragging Aro away. "I am your king! You are nothing without me!"

"Maybe in the past we would have been lost but we have a cunning queen to guide us nowadays." Uncle Caius joined us in the middle of the field and took my hand. "You are right, the Volturi needs to be reborn."
