The 'battle' was over. The Volturi went back home and I promised father we would join them in a few days. I didn't want to leave just yet.

Alice was surprised that her vision didn't come true and her plan wasn't put into action. This resulted in her glaring at me for the past hours but Jasper tried his best to put himself between the pixie's wrath and my two overprotective mates.

I was laying in the snow with Lea beside me, desperately trying to keep me warm but failing miserably. I mean... I'm lying in the snow. What do you expect?

A chuckle catches my attention and I find Edward looking at me with an amused expression on his face. He clearly heard my thoughts and I smile softly at him as he makes his way over before sitting beside me. "Now I am wondering about something... What did your uncle mean when he said that they have a cunning queen on their side?" I sit up and snuggle into Lea's hot fur as she whines softly. "I'm not sure about that. He could be talking about me but I don't consider myself that cunning nor do I think that a human should be the queen of the Volturi coven. That's just trouble waiting to happen..."

He takes my hand and kisses my knuckles with his cold lips. "If you would be their queen, we would be loyal to you as well." His words make me giggle. "Instead of being loyal, I would prefer it if you would be my advisers. Not just you but your entire coven." I look up to see them all standing around us, the Cullens, my mates and the two guards (Demetri and Felix). Some of them are smirking while others are smiling at me. "We accept that position." Carlisle says and the others nod at me.

I can't help but feel like I have a second family here in Forks.

My days in Forks are over and I enter the throne room with the four guards at my sides. My uncle and father are sitting in their normal thrones, leaving Aro's seat open. "I'm home." "We can see that. Now... my lovely niece, why don't you get changed and get ready for tomorrow?" "What is tomorrow?" "Your coronation of course. What else could it be?" My father answers for my uncle and I look at them like they each have a second head. "Coronation? But I am a human... That would be inappropriate." "So is your relationship with the twins. But we have allowed that to happen as well. We need someone like you on a throne. Be it Aro's or mine. That will be your choice to make." I can only nod as the twins slowly drag me to my room to rest up.

The next day I woke up to an empty bed. I felt empty. By now I was used to having at least one of the twins with me or heck... even Lea. But even though every fiber in my body told me to stay in bed, I managed to drag my ass out of bed and to get ready for the day. I was wearing an ankle long black dress with white flowers all over and tied my hair in a simple high ponytail. I left my cloak in my room as I made my way to the throne room. It was empty except for my father and uncle and they both smiled at me with loving gazes.

"Are you ready?" "Ready for a crown to be placed on my head? I doubt that I ever will be ready for that." He chuckled softly and shook his head. "No... Are you ready to become a vampire?" This caught me off guard and I looked at him like he was crazy once again. "But I can't..." "We found a way. Or at least we have heard of one. If we weaken your body enough it won't have a choice but to use the poison to repair itself." My father's voice wavered slightly. "And by weaken you mean... that there is a chance that I will die?" They nodded at me and I took a deep breath. "When do we start?"

"The first step is for you to choose your position at the throne. Whose seat will you take?" My uncle and father both get up and leave the thrones open for me. "Choose one." My father whispers in my ear. "Though we believe that you are best fit to take Aro's place. The big head of our trio." My uncle whispers into my other ear as he softly pushes me to the seats. "Sure... no pressure at all..."
