you and robert have been in a beautiful relationship for almost two years and everything was going great. despise what the press and the people said, he was actually very sweet and considerate, and you honestly didn't know what you did to deserve a guy like him.

he was like a walking ray of sunshine on earth. always making jokes to make you smile or doing silly things to hear your laughter because it made him happy to see you happy, he was always so nice to everyone and he was doing his best to redeem the troubled past he had.

you two met on the set of soapdish, where you played a small part since you were an inspiring actress. your relationship was public and people knew about it, and you were actually glad that no drama or gossip occurred on television or magazines. even his sister and father were happy for the two of you.

in the last period of time, you and him have been away due to filming, he was having the leading role in "only you" and you were playing a part in a popular family sitcom. you were so happy he was getting recognition for his hard work but you were missing your boyfriend dearly, it's been almost 5 months without him.

you have been contacted by the directors, good friends of robert's dad and they asked you to play his love interest since the other actress, marisa tomei wasn't able to, and since robert was kinda lovesick for you, he wasn't really himself while playing with her, and so they decided that you would be the best choice. you accepted immediately, of course, what's better than playing your boyfriend's love interest right? they didn't inform robert about it yet, and you told them not to, since you wanted to keep your surprise.

so, after you finished filming your part in the sitcom, you took the first plane to your destination: the only you movie set.

when you were there, you took a taxi and texted robert good morning like you two always did.

the sound of his phone buzzing woke robert up from his slumber, making him yawn and rub the sleep from his tired eyes. he's been awake all night reading the script and repeating the lines, so he fell asleep without noticing. the soft light of the sun peeking through the curtains gently caressed the profile of his face as he stretched his arms lazily and ran a hand through his hair, taming down the messed up fluffy hair.

he picked up his phone and looked at the wallpaper, a picture with the both of you, and saw the notification, a smile immediately spreading across his sleep indulged face. after he sent you a cute good morning text before standing up to get ready for the day since the filming was starting that day.

after the directors ran him through the scene setting and gave him some performance notes, the filming began, the set went quiet as the actors began playing their parts. when he was done with his role in that scene, he stepped off of the set and sat down in his chair, watching quietly the performance as he waited for another text from you.

"too bad marisa couldn't make it, hmm?" you spoke casually as you stood next to his chair, dropping your bag behind him and folding your arms

"wait, marisa can't–" he began confused but stopped shortly when he realized whose voice it was, "y/n!" he shouted excited and in less than a couple of seconds you were huddled in his warm arms as he hugged you tightly to his chest, pressing small kisses all over your face.

laughing happily you hugged him back, cupping his face in your hands to kiss him sweetly, his quick and passionate response showing you how much he had missed you over this time, "you're here!" he said happily when he finally pulled away from you, still holding you in his arms.

"surprise!"

"when did you come?" he asked as he sat down and put you on his thigh, looking at you with eyes filled with love and adoration while grabbing your hand and kissing it a few times.

"the directors told me that marisa can't play anymore and they asked me to play her part" you smiled as you cuddled closer towards his chest, "and that you were looking like a lovesick puppy without me here" you teased and poked his side, gaining a small giggle from him.

"well, that's true, i can't be without you sweetheart" he flirted and gave you a playful wink, leaning closer to give you a kiss, deeper and more passionate this time, melting you in his arms.

"hey lovebirds! if you two are done with smooching, go get ready for the next scene!" the director shouted, making all of the other people look at you and giggle.

"are you ready, 'damon bradley'?" you asked as you stood up and offered him your hand, smiling widely.

"more than ready, 'faith corvatch'" he grinned and stood up, wrapping an arm around your waist and leading you towards the makeup ladies to get you ready for your first leading role.

maybe sometimes the distance was too much, but somehow you two always gravitated towards each other.
