Michael and I were on our way to Kaitlyn's Halloween party. Michael was listening to a song which was catchy. "Who sings this?" I asked. "Green Day, it's called Time of Your Life." He answered then looked at me. "You look ridiculous, you know that?" He said. I laughed, "I look almost look like the same as you." I said. We were both dressed as vampires. He pulled over and I looked outside. "Wow!" Was the only thing I could say looking at the mansion. "You're looking at the wrong house there, Lily." Michael said. I looked at him with a confused look. "That house is Kaitlyn's." Michael pointed at a regular looking house across the street. "Pfft, I knew that. I was just admiring this one." I said point the house the my thumb. "Great save." Michael teased.
We got out of the truck and I walked beside him. He locked his truck and started walking. I followed him.
We walked into the house. I never knew that this kind of house could hold this much of people. I followed Michael through the crowd. We ended up I the living-room. "You made it!" Kaitlyn said. How could she even recognize me? "I almost didn't recognize you, until I saw you were with Mikey. Here!" She said giving me a red cup. "Uh," I said opening my mouth to say something but she turned around because someone wanted her attention. Michael took the cup from me and gave me another. "Don't tell her I gave you a different cup." He whispered. I took a sip. It was fruit punch juice. Kaitlyn turned back to me again. "How is it?" Kaitlyn asked. I gave her a thumbs up. "Alright." I said. I looked at Michael and wondered where he got the fruit punch from. "I will be right back, hope you enjoy your night!" She said and walked off then greeting another person. "Thanks." I said smiling to Michael. "I'm not going to let you take she gives you, if I'm not around and she gives you something, don't take it." He said. "Why did we come here anyway?" I asked. "To have fun dancing and socializing." He said smiling.

It's been two hours, my stomach hurt and my cheeks hurt from laughing at Michael's jokes and dance moves. "You're really bad at it." I said to him. "Oh, you could do better." He said sarcastically. "You're right." I said smiling. "I am not better because I don't know how to dance." I said. The look in his eyes kept changing during the night. I liked it, like he was really protecting me from anything. He took my hand and led me outside to the backyard. "I needed fresh air and I thought you did too." He said smiling at me. I smiled back and notice that he was still holding my hand but I don't say anything because I liked it this way.

"But the funny thing was that they thought I was smuggling in something and I was kept in a cell at the International Airport." He laughed and so I did. He was telling me his story from when he left his home to the plane ride here to arriving here. "That sucks." I said. "It did, I had to stay there for four hours." He said he was still holding me hand and he was rubbing his thumb on the side of my hand. "Tell me about you." He said.
"I think I've told you enough." I said smiling. "No, no you didn't." He responded. "Ok, once when I was ten. I had this cat....." I trailed off.
