Chapter 11

[Lily]

I was in the hospital emergency room. I was waiting for the doctor to come back . I was picking my finger nails because I was nervous. Michael was sitting next to me. I'm really glad he was with me. My mother and father came in just when I looked up from looking at my finger nails. I literally jumped out of the bed and hugged my mother and father and starting crying. We were there standing for about five minutes just hugging each other tightly. When we let go, Sam and Harry immediately came hugging me. They held me as tight as my parents did. They both cried and I could slightly hear them that they said something like "I'm so glad you're okay." Not the exact words but that's how I heard it. I see the doctor come in, Harry and Sam were told to go out of the room. Mum, dad and Michael were in the room with me. I sat on the bed and started picking my nails again.

[Michael]

I looked at Lily picking her nails. I intertwined my hands with hers. She looks up at me and I gave her a slight smile. She smiled back.
"Lily's the results came back.. And she has an infected in her ears which caused to swell up and cover up her ears. This looks like it was caused my someone putting something in her ear like a bobby pin or a small stick. And also, we have seen, excuse what I am about to tell you, I know it's going to get emotional in here.." The doctor said as he looked up at us, after reading Lily's file. "What is it?" I ask, I have to know more, and I can't wait any longer. The doctor rubbed his forehead and sighed, "Lily will have difficulty in talking about this, she'll get nervous, scared of little things around her. We saw that Lily here has been raped and we also can't tell if she is pregnant because it's too early to know." The doctor said. My heart stopped. I didn't expect this kind of bad news. I see here mother and father started crying. My heart dropped from thousands feet from the sky straight down to the ground. Thoughts run through my head like I wished I was the one that killed him. I looked at Lily and wrap my arms around her, she hugged back though. She didn't say anything, she didn't say anything at all since I saw her.
We were told that she has to stay in the hospital for a week or two, getting more tests for any diseases and sickness that might come from the raping and has to see an ear specialist to see if her ears aren't so damaged.

I stayed with her throughout the week in the hospital. "Are you hungry?" I ask loudly close to her ear. She nodded. I called out the nurse and told her that Lily was hungry.
Lily could hear a little, the swelling in her ear when down, but she has to get surgery done as soon as possible. She had a hole in her eardrum which was fixable, well that's what the doctor said.
Lily has talked about what happened while she was in that house. Everything! I kept crying because I wasn't there to save her from that.

[Lily]

"Michael, I hated it, and I feel disgusting about it. No one would want me now." I cried. Michael was holding my hand. "Every Night I would cry before I fell asleep, hoping that someone would come save me, but someone did come save me and you were out there. But I feel like a whole part of me is gone forever that so won't be able to get back. It hurt, it hurt so bad." I say while crying. "It wasn't every night, but it felt like it, I can't live my life the way it was before, I'm too scared to go anywhere what if that happens to me again?"
"Baby, I'm sorry." Michael said sniffling. He was holding my hand with both of his. "I was hit, kicked and sexually abused." I confessed. Michael rested his head on my hand and started crying loudly again, "I know, I'm sorry. I wasn't there to keep you safe but I looked for you everywhere, I couldn't eat and sleep. I wouldn't rest until I found you." Michael says and kissed my hand still resting his head on my hand. "I feel so disgusted that I want to die Michael." I say crying. Michael then hugged me tight. "Don't think like that babe.." "And that last day, I delivered a baby, it was terrifying, but.. where did the baby go?" I asked Michael, suddenly thinking about the baby, the baby no longer had parents and no one there. "The baby should be fine, it got rushed to the hospital and someone will take care of it." Michael says calming down now.
The nurse came in and told me I was disease free. I dont know how to feel at this point right now, because I've been kidnapped, raped, having to deliver a baby, having to see a woman die and having to see the baby without a family. i dont want to take care of the baby, that was for sure but couldnt help but think about the baby.
