"Everyone stay with your partner as we go up to the camping site, we wouldn't want you guys to get lost" The teacher chaperone said as the group of students all stood outside the bus, all of them groggy, and impatient to get into the bus to fall right back asleep since it was early in the morning
"When will she ever stop talking? it's too early for this" Heejin said lowly, rolling her tired eyes as she sipped on her coffee
"I don't know how you and Jaemin can be drinking coffee and still be tired, you're crackheads for sure" Jeno said as he stared at them in disgust, both of them sipping on their coffee unbothered
"Anyways, Why are we even going on a camping Trip in this weather? It's freezing outside" Haechan said as they all started to get onto the bus
"It's freezing in March, i think we can blame climate change for this" Chenle said as they all sat in the back
Heejin already knew that Jaemin was going to try and sit next to her, and she did not want to be stuck with him for the next 2 hour drive. So, she put her book bag in the spot next to her, hoping that maybe Jaemin was smart enough to get the message
As the bus started to drive off, students hurried to get into seats, as Heejin felt a tiny tap on her shoulder, turning her view from the window to see the person standing in front of her.
It was like a very tall angel fell from heaven and was towering over her as his smile made her instantly feel warm inside, Heejin never being this intimidated by anyone.
"Do you mind if I sit hear? There isn't any seats left" He said softly as Heejin nodded her head and was about to get her bag from the spot until Jaemin popped out of nowhere
"This seat is already taken by her boyfriend, right Heejin?" Jaemin said as he faked a smile up to the Tall boy, who just seemed a little confused
"No, don't mind him, please sit" Heejin said as she smiled at the boy, who thanked her and sat down
Jaemin stood there shocked with his mouth open in awe, as he scoffed and walked away from the two, squeezing in a seat with mark and Jisung
"Ahah, that was too embarrassing" Mark snickered as him and Jisung giggled at Jaemin, who slumped down next to them with a frown on his face
He never felt jealous until now, his looks and personality never seemed out matched by anyone, until today, he had met his equal, or his rival.
Maybe the thing that worried him was how Heejin was nice to him right off the bat, odd behavior from someone as cold and shut off as her.
Yet he didn't want her to know that he felt threatened, maybe because he just didn't want to seem weak or insecure to her.
"Are you new? I've actually never seen you here before" Heejin asked as the boy nodded softly
"I started school about 2 days ago, I've been studying abroad and just came back to korea, and by the way, I'm Hyunsuk" he said as he stuck his hand out for Heejin to shake
"I'm Heejin" She said taking his hand and shaking it as he smiled warmly at her

It was a long 2 hours for Jaemin, having been glaring at Heejin and Hyunsuk, who the two hours went by in a flash as they've been talking the whole way through.
"Okay, I'll be calling out the pairs who are gonna be partners for the entire trip" The chaperone said as she had a list in her hand and started to call out names
"Chenle and Jisung" The first name was called and the duo ran to hug each other
"The power we withhold together is unmatchable!" Chenle said as Renjun rolled his eyes and Jeno only shook his head at the two
"With that power, they'll for sure burn down the entire camp site"
"Jaemin and-"
"Please let it be Heejin" Jaemin thought to himself as he secretly crossed his fingers
"-And Ana" and once the Chaperone called out her name, Jaemin wanted to throw himself of the mountain
"Please can we change partners, this isn't going to work" Jaemin pleaded as Ana only rolled her eyes at him
"Oooo, She gonna steal your man Heejin, better keep an eye on her" Haechan said to Heejin, who just scoffed, glaring at Jaemin and Ana
"As If"
"You two are actually dating? I thought he was joking" Hyunsuk said to Heejin, who just shrugged her shoulders
"You should take everything he says with a grain of salt, a very tiny one" she said as Hyunsuk chuckled and smiled to himself
"Heejin and Hyunsuk" The chaperone called out and Jaemin at this point was willing to throw himself off the entire earth
"This chaperone IS PETTY, she probably wants to see all of you brawl so that we can leave early" Jeno snickered as they all walked to their camp site once all the names were called out
Jaemin wasn't so happy with this arrangement and he was not so delighted when him and Ana were sent to get wood for the fire.
"Look, i know you're not exactly alright with us being partners, and neither am I" Ana said as Jaemin looked at her in confusion
"Why? You're the last person who wouldn't want to be in this type of situation" Jaemin questioned as Ana shrugged her shoulders
"I wanted to be partnered with Hyunsuk, but it seems he's going to be way too into Heejin at the end of this trip" Ana said as something in Jaemin's vacant head clicked
"Why don't we team up to not let that happen"
