he hadn't made it to 48 hours. at 42 hours he had been at his limits, and he gave up.

when he told minho, the older just smiled and ruffled his hair, making it seem like such a small thing that he didn't even cry when he confessed.

the older just kissed his cheeks and told him to try again with the same time mark.

so he did, mostly finding his distractions in homework and random comedies that weren't actually funny but over promoted on netflix.

minho came 'home' and wrapped his arms around him from the back when he was preparing himself something in the kitchen, kissing his neck before hooking his chin over his shoulder.

''you still lasting?'' the older asked, slipping his hands under his hoodie to rub the soft skin it hid and jisung shivered at how cold his hands were.

jisung hummed, putting a slice of apple in his mouth so he would have an excuse not to talk.

in all honesty, he hadn't really had any explicit thoughts yet, too focussed on finishing his tasks instead.

(can you tell i'm getting tired of the plot)

but now that the older was pressed up against his back with his fingertips trailing over his bare skin, it was getting increasingly harder.

selfish, he didn't take the hands off. just leaning into the touch more and popping a piece of apple into his mouth every now and then.

he gasped when he realised what his boyfriend was doing, moving away from him and sliding out from between the counter and his body.

''you're testing me.'' he accused, minho's hands still hanging halfway in the air.

''am i?'' the older asked, letting his hands fall to the side and revealing a cocky smirk to confirm his suspicion. ''i just wanted to hug my boyfriend.''

jisung pondered quietly for a moment, gasping and sticking his finger up in mid-air when he assumed he got the answer. ''you're needy!''

minho was silent for a moment, even his breathing pausing. then he just started laughing. ''maybe i am, just a little.''

''oh my god,'' jisung cooed, stepping close to his boyfriend to invade his personal space just a bit, an invite for touch. ''you're such a needy baby.''

the older giggled, taking him by surprise by wrapping him up in a quick hug. ''you're not dominating me.''

it was easier to resist urges when you didn't have them. jisung was dangerously close to tumbling into little space, and he was the only one home. there would be nobody to take care of him and made sure he was doing alright in general.

and he was doing great at ignoring it, until his eyes fell on the squirrel plushie that he had brought to jeongin's house the day they played together and his eyes got starry when he remembered the wonderful day.

he took the soft toy in his hand and squished softly, pulling it closer to his body so he could hug it tightly to sigh happily.

with a shock, he realised what he was doing and threw the item on the bed as if it bit him, taking a step back.

jisung refused to call minho. it made him feel like he was being a bother, especially with minho and felix, who both already did so much for him.

so he just sat there, gradually gravitating more towards it until it was in his reach again and quickly taking it to hold it close once more.

by that point it was already too late, but the loud crash of thunder made it worse. he squealed at the loud noise and squished the squirrel tighter. (i forgot it's name so if i give it a different name literally don't come for me.)

of course, his first instinct was to hide. he slipped into his closet, muscles feeling a bit shaky from fear as he placed himself in one of the corners, hidden behind the rack of clothing hanging in front of him and sitting comfortably due to the items carelessly thrown in.

he squished the stuffy even tighter, chest heaving with how heavily he was breathing and the first tear trickling down his cheek.

jisung didn't know how long he sat there waiting, and he didn't even hear the door opening and closing or minho's calls for him. thus why he didn't respond.

when minho walked past the closet in search of him, he still didn't get out. somehow, he had managed to convince himself that the older would be mad at the fact that he hid from the lightning bolds.
