"Thirdy gising na! I thought you had morning practice?"
I checked the time. It was 6 am on a Saturday and practice starts at 7.
"10 mins!!" sigaw ko. I covered my head with a pillow because I know mom won't stop until I get up.
"Ikaw bahala pero Bea's waiting for you downstairs, may usapan daw kayo?" I heard her say sabay alis.
Napadilat ako ng mata ng wala oras. What? usapan??? I checked my phone for messages. Wala naman. Last text from her was "LOL"
Nagmadali na ako maligo at magbihis. Threw all the stuff I needed inside my duffle bag at nagmadali na pababa.
"Oh shit" muntik pa akong mahulog because I missed a step.
"dahan dahan naman" sabi ni mama.
Pag baba ko I saw them eating breakfast at the dining table and looking at me. I checked the living room, but she was not there. Napailing ako and glared at my mom. Umupo na ako sa harap ni dani.
"Mas mabalis pa sa alas kwatro" kumento ni papa at tumawa.
"Did you even take a bath?" tanong ni dani sabay subo ng kinakain.
"Oo naman"
she laughed like I was joking or something. Sa kalagitnaan ng pagkain ko my phone suddenly vibrated. I checked kung sino.

Pagkatapos kong basahin nagmadali na akong tapusin yung pagkain ko.
"Oh? tapos ka na? you barely ate." tanong ni mama. I stood up and nagpaalam na sakanila.
"I have to go."
I stopped by mcdonalds kahit wala naman talaga akong plano kasi nga kumain na ko. Well, you gotta do what you gotta do.
"Good morning sir, welcome to McDonalds."
"8pcs chicken nuggets, 2 orders of 2pcs pancake, hashbrown, egg muffin, Hot choco yung drink ng isang pancake tapos yung isa iced coffee vanilla please."
"I'll repeat your order sir, 8 pcs chicken nuggets, 2 orders of 2 pcs pancake with hot choco and iced coffee vanilla, hashbrown and egg muffin. Is that all sir?"
"Ah yes."
"Okay, sir. please proceed to the next window"
I paid at the next window and then got my order. chineck ko muna bago umalis.
Maya maya my phone rang.
"Where are you na? so tagal" reklamo niya sa kabilang linya. I already imagine her rolling her eyes while waiting at her front door. Bag on her shoulders at nakapamewang. napailing nalang ako.
"Papasok na ng village." sagot ko
"Did you buy me breakfast? gutom na ko."
"Andito na, ma'am." pagbibiro ko sakanya. she scoffed.
"Okay. I'll wait here outside." I heard her say goodbye to her dad before the call ended.
I took a deep breath.
