And only if
I ever drift away
It won't be because of a boy
It will be because of my pain
My lack of trust
My disappointment
I'm doing better now but that doesn't change what happened
I was abandoned
I was hurt
I was betrayed
And you let it happen
Where were you?
Why did you leave me alone?
Then I asked for answers
I can't do what you want
(Relentless prayers)
If I don't know what you want
(Empty prayers)
You never answered
So why did you prompt me to ask?
Ignored and abandoned
No,
If I ever drift it won't be because of a boy.
It'll be because of all the resentment, disappointment and mistrust built-up throughout the years.
