I'm enveloped in a blanket of warmth, strong but gentle arms are wrapped around me protecting me from nothing and everything, a gentle breath brushes the back of my neck sending light tingles down my spine. I wake up with a smile on my face; something that was once a foreign concept to me has been my norm' every day for the past month. I snuggle in closer to Tords embrace, I couldn't get enough of his gentle touch.

Soft lips perched gently on my neck, lingering for only a moment, "good morning." His voice was deep, still draped in a layer of sleep.

"Good morning," grasping one of his hands I lift it to my own lips placing a light kiss on it; a chuckle escapes his throat.

He squeezes me tighter rolling me over to lay on top of him, gasps and laughter erupting from us all the while.

"Do you have anything to do this morning, or can we stay in bed all day?" He smiled softly, his eyes never leaving mine.

"As amazing as that sounds unfortunately you have stuff to do, remember, you're the one who wanted to get a job." He groaned rolling his eyes deeply, giving me another squeeze. I can't help but smile at the man, resting my head on his chest relaxing more and more into it as it rose and fell with every deep breath.

"What about you, any plans while I'm gone?" His hand slowly made its way up to my head, stroking my hair ever so gently.

"Not a lot, I need to go and visit Edd and Matt, I've not been to see them and a while so Edd's getting on my back about it."

"Oh, tell them I said hey when you see them then," he perks up, "When are you next going to see Dr Evans?"

"Not until the new year, I can't remember what day so I'll need to double check."

"Alrighty, just remind me when it comes around and I'll give you a ride there and back." He smiles, kissing my cheek gently.

And with that Tords alarm goes off, angrily demanding him to go to work. His mood seems to immediately drop at the sound and we both reluctantly get out of bed to get dressed.
Tord sauntered about the room putting on his clothes as he came across them and fixing himself up.

"Don't forget your eat breakfast, there's bread, cereal, eggs and whatever so have as much as you want."

"Okay I'll try and eat something before I leave." I pull a T-shirt on, admiring how much weight I'd managed to put on over the past month; it wasn't a lot but my ribs were no longer bruised which was for sure an improvement.

"Oh come back here tonight as well, I'll bring home dinner, there's something I wanna talk to you about," he kissed me gently like saying his goodbyes for the day, "don't worry, it's absolutely nothing to worry about, it's a good thing I promise. I'll see you later tonight, okay? text me if you have a preference for dinner, bye!" And like a tornado of human energy he rushed out the door.

"Bye." I mumbled out, still flustered from the info dump Tord had just left me with.
What did he want to talk about, it was something I didn't have to worry about, sure. But the suspense was almost worse than any potential dread. Nothing I could think of seemed like something we'd have to discuss, it was beyond me what went on in his head 90% of the time. I decide it'd be best to try not thinking about it and distract myself with breakfast.

I enter the warmly lit coffee shop, the smell and sound greeting me like an old friend. Admittedly it had been longer than I would like since I'd last visited the shop, it was early afternoon on a weekday so it was pretty sparse; only 2 people were to be seen in the shop and both were diligently working away on their laptops, paying absolutely no mind to what always going on around them.
