Chapter 4: More Allies

When alone with Amanda, Cassandra asked her, "Now tell me why you are really here. If you are from another reality, this isn't normal even now of all temporal understandings."

"There's a lot going on that all of you will know, including Sam. We must play this one step at a time."

She huffed, "More Jedi bunk! Great." She sighed, "I will not sit and let her get beaten by her evil persona or her evil daughter. KARABAST!! Tell me all I need to know."

"Daddy and Mom are with them now. They're already our new allies, but we are not ready to reveal them, yet."

"Can you tell me who they are?"

Amanda smiled, "I would if I could, but she promised she would kick my royal ass if I did."

"If there will be any royal ass-kicking... wait a minute. It is me. I mean your Cassandra."

Amanda giggled, "Yes, she is you. She is also the one that made sure we play by the numbers."

"What can this me do right now?"

"Be for her. She needs you more than ever. You know how she feels about what has been going on. I'll get her to talk to me, but you are her best friend right now."

Cassandra smiled, "You couldn't have come at a better time."

"I know. I have been monitoring her ever since Chari talked to them at the SGC through the Stargate." Something chirped in Amanda's purse. "OH HELL. Can I do anything without the damn Enterprise always calling me?"

"Enterprise!? What are you talking about?"

"They're our allies. Actually, it is the name of a spaceship of theirs. It's a galaxy-class — top of the line."

"Why have I not heard of this ship before? I know just about everything that Mom and Sam know — which is just about every top-secret information. Now that the Stargate is open to all, just about everyone knows about the most top-secret organization."

"They are from the future — like the adult Chari and me. I told you there's a lot to be told." Seconds later, Amanda took out the communication device. The top portion of the badge is colored gold and features the iconic Starfleet insignia. This insignia is a stylized delta symbol colored gold and pointed upwards. The delta is meant to represent a stylized letter "A" which references "Academy" and the ideals of the Starfleet organization.

Seconds later, she pressed it. The voice on the other end said, "I hope I wasn't interrupting anything important."

"Not at all, Captain. I had already contacted Sam. I'm talking to Cassie now."

"Oh my, I forgot about you talking to all the alternates there." Captain Jean-Luc Picard paused and continued, "Your Majesty, I got word from Sam's father, Jacob Carter, of some urgency. He and his team found her."

Cassandra's heart dropped, "Oh SITHSPIT!" She fell on her butt in a chair.

"I'm sorry to be a bearer of grim news, Cassandra, but it had to be told. Are you all right?"

It took a moment, but she answered, "I'm fine. It just scared me to know she is alive all this time."

"I have to agree with you. Our Cassandra is at Ten Forward and will drink the hardest liquor Guinan offers."

"I feel like joining her." Finally, she forced herself to think on behalf of her best friend. She said, "I need to talk to all of you to know what you all know. Sam can't deal with this by herself, and I know that butthead, she will do her best to isolate herself from everyone."
