So I barged through the door almost knocked over my mother in the process she told me that I wasn't allowed in the woods on my own, I told her I wasn't, well that was until Emmett left to go find the source of the scream.
I knew she was worried for him but she tried to reassure me that he would be back soon but even as a child I saw through her lie.
She told me to just go wait that he would be back.
So I waited minutes turned into hours and before I knew it, it was bedtime for me I started to cry all I wanted was for my big brother to come home and tell me a story.
the next day came still no sign of Emmett.
I wouldn't talk to anyone no matter how many times they tried to make me say something, anything. I went into the woods with Harrison trying to find any clue to where Emmett went.
What we found is the thing that caused me to go mute. A jacket, Emmett's jacket covered in blood the blood was everywhere but what terrified me most and gave me nightmares.
Was a body it was unrecognisable, but there was only one person in my mind of who it could be, from what was left of the body it added up to Emmett the size, jacket, hair. I came to one conclusion, one that I hated, one that I thought would never happen.
My brother was gone and I would never see him again.
