What happened to our happy ever after?

Chapter 9

Edward P.O.V (Surprise)

Lilianna ran out of the room crying, I was confuse she had blocked me out as soon as Carlisle mentioned Rose and Emmett. We were all standing shocked still, all Aro said was that her past had lots of harsh memories. 

But what confused me most was what triggered it. From what I remember nothing was said that could have possibly upset her. I went to go run after her and make sure she was ok, but Jane and Alec stepped in the way and the giant ornate doors shut behind them.

 Aro retreated back to his throne and proceeded to talk to Carlisle. Something was seriously up with her I just don't know what, But I'm determined to found out.

Alec P.O.V

We stopped the Cullen boy from going after Lily as she most likely would not want guests hanging around her.

 Her past was something that needed to be handled with utmost care and unknowing people such as the Cullen's who didn't know when to keep their mouths shut turned the greeting into an unfortunate emotional incident . 

It was obvious Aro had sent a glare towards Carlisle warning him not to talk about his missing family members knowing the absent Cullen boys name would greatly upset someone so sweet as Lily.

As my sister and I approached Lily's chambers we could here her sobbing through the door that had roses imprinted on it with a silver plaque with  Liliana written in calligraphy.

 We opened it and stepped inside to see stuff  thrown everywhere, clothes on the ground, paintings on the floor and in the middle of it all sat Lily.

Sighing I gather her in my arms and sit her o the bed, Jane continues to comfort her while I arrange things back to how they were. People think of Jane and I as heartless which isn't true. Only the people we truly cared about saw us like this.

We had been wronged and outcasted as children, even our mother turned on us when people spread rumors of us being witches. We were going to be burned at the stake like most accused magical beings were.

Only difference was Aro saved us and turned us, but the nickname "The witch twins" forever remained. This is why we had taken so much liking and attachment to Lily, not that anyone couldn't like her. 

She was also outcasted from her society and had traumatic experiences. we were all very protective of each other.

 I loved having both the people I call sisters so close to me, we fed off each others happiness, most of the time Lilianna's twenty four seven joy and happiness is what feuled us.

This was one of the only times Lily has ever been truly upset since she arrived here, but I knew both Jane and I will always be here for when she needs a steady wall to support her. 

Now it brings me to the thought how much trouble will the Cullen Coven bring to our home and at what cost.
