"So, Y/N. How's your life going?" Beverly asked you.

"Very good." you smiled, "I got married to a man named Kamdyn, but we separated when i was around 36. I'm an author now, I write scary stories."

"Do your endings suck?" Richie asked.
"What?" you replied.
"All of Bill's books are great but his endings are shit."
"Beep Beep, Richie." Beverly and Bill muttered together and laughs erupted throughout the group.
"So, Eddie what's your life been like?" Mike asked.
"It's been good. I've married, and i have a good job but i crashed my car on the way here," Eddie looked down and sadly chuckled, "The call spooked me a little and i wasn't ready for it." He took a pause and took some deep breaths. It was evident to anyone around that he was not okay. Something more was going on in his life, he was having some type of issue.

Derry makes everyone feel some type of way, that's obvious to anyone who has been there. It ruins most people down to their core and mixes them up like a drink.

When you get away from Derry, though, things change. You start to not remember things from your past- almost like someone took White Out and erased that whole section of your life. When you leave you start to change as a person, too. You feel better and start to grow your happiness.

Coming back to such a terrible place will make you feel just as terrible. It feels as though everything you have worked for has come crashing down like waves in a hurricane.

Eddie was no different, Derry had always effected him in a negative way. You were sure that he had been thriving in whatever area he lived in and that this was just a stage in his life.

"I'm glad i'm here though. I've missed you guys, all of you." Eddie put the emphasis on "you" and glanced up in your direction. You felt a flutter that you hadn't felt in awhile race through your veins.

"I'm glad we're all here too," you added. All heads turned towards you since you replied to Eddie. You hadn't spoken to each other the entire time. You weren't being petty because you guys broke up, you just felt awkward because of how things ended- even if things ended twenty years ago.

Dinner talk went around as normal, catching up on life and making jokes until it was time to eat the fortune cookies.

"What the fuck?" You heard Richie's loud voice boom. It wasn't until you looked down at your fortune that you saw the strange words written on yours.
