     Siren's Pov:

My heart races as we head towards the end of the tunnel. My mom is going to freak out. She expects me to come out with a spear covered in Kappa's blood, but I'm instead coming out with a strange, unknown girl.

I try to think about what to say to her. I know we agreed on telling the truth, or most of it, but I need to break the ice in a steady way, otherwise, Vien might end up in a cell beside Kappa instead of in one of the castle rooms.

"Uhm, don't worry over it. I think I have a plan B and C ready in case telling her the truth doesn't work out." Usually people have only plan A and B, but C? She is really prepared to face the people...

"What are they?" I ask.

"Plan C is to swim away, but plan B is still a secret. It's part of the future, where your mom reveals something... important. Since I know your futures, I know what she reveals. And if I tell her, maybe I can get her to not kill me or something."

I frown and wonder what my mom could be hiding from me. It can't be that big of a deal, right?

We reach the end of the tunnel and I see my mom in the front waiting for me. She looks startled when Vien comes out behind me.

"Siren! Who is she?" She has a suspicious glance towards Vien, but Vien doesn't look intimidated. Either she is a really good actor, or she really doesn't feel nervous. I get my answer as she inches closer to me in case my mom decides to lunge at her.

"Mom, this is Vien. Please don't be mad! She isn't dangerous or trying to steal the beacon. She won't hurt us. Please just let her explain and listen to her." She looks suspiciously at her, but when her eyes land on mine, my mom lets out a sigh and says, "Explain."

Vien takes a deep breath and says, "I'm not from this universe. I don't live under water, and I didn't have a tail before. I live above the sea, and for some reason, I teleported to this universe. I don't know how to go back, and I guess you can say I'm technically an alien in this world. But I really don't have any plans of hurting your people"

My mom will definitely not throw her into a cell now. She'll throw her to a psychiatrist to treat her mental health.

"Siren, you really believe her?" My mom raises an eyebrow. To be honest, I do.

"Yes. I do. Vien didn't try to take Ka- the Beacon even though she was right next to him."

"Speaking of which, why were you in the dungeon, uh, Vien."

"I honestly don't know why I teleported to that area, but from what I heard from Siren, I was unconsciously floating down from the top of the dungeon."

My mom looks at me.

"Siren, is this true?"

"Of course. And..." Vien looks at me, this wasn't part of the plan, but, I dare to continue.

"I think she was sent by God. I was uhm, about to kill the beacon when she appeared. So, I think this might be God saying that I shouldn't kill the beacon." My mom's face is pure horror, when I look at Vien, I see that hers is too.

I just want to free Kappa, but did I say something wrong?

"Uhm, he's joking. If anything, I WANT the beacon to die. That way, your curse would be lifted, right?" Vien says.

My mom looks troubled by what I said and Vien's attempt fails. Vien sighs and slaps her forehead. Beneath her hand, I can see her glaring at me. I feel like I said something wrong...

Vien's Pov:

WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT?!

WHY?

WHY?

WHY?

OH MY GOD, SHE IS GOING TO KILL ME NOW. DEFINITELY.

She must think that god sent me here to make the prophecy go correctly. BUT THAT ISN'T TRUE. THAT. ISN'T. TRUE.

ALL I WANT IS FOR SIREN AND KAPPA TO BE TOGETHER, DAMN IT.

She is definitely going to put me in a cell next to Kappa now, if not kill me.

"Look, Ms. Queen, I really don't want to be in a cell beside the beacon or be killed by you. Please trust in your son, if not me, that I am not here to hurt anyone. In fact, I want the opposite. I want this place to be happy, not cursed. I could help around the place, since I'm not technically a part of your kingdom, I am not affected by the curse, so I won't be injured while working." I try to use excuses to survive another day not being eaten by a giant jellyfish like the barracudas did.

Suska gives me a glare but stops when Siren looks at her with a frown.

"I... suppose we could have a talk about this... But I can't guarantee your safety in a cursed land like this."

The fact that she gave me a chance is all I need. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and put on a small smile. I need to find out what I'm doing in a different universe fast. Before she figures out that I know about the true prophecy. By her reaction to what Siren said before, I can tell that plan B was definitely going to fail. I guess runnin- swimming away is the new plan B...

So many things to worry about. Why do I remember what happens in episode 39? I mean, I'm glad that Siren might be alive, but still. It's like I'm getting the information from the other universe even though I am not there. I never thought traveling to a different universe would be so difficult AFTER traveling there...

"For the time being, we should get you a room. You probably don't have a place to stay at since you traveled to... a different universe other than yours, that's what you said, right?" I thought she would kill me after Siren's theory of the God bringing me here so Kappa doesn't die, seems like that isn't very true.

"Of course, we shouldn't reveal anything to anyone until we have everything sorted, we should hurry up and go, Selkie's coming here soon." Hmm, if nobody knows me, then it would be easier to get rid of me... If everyone knows me, she would have more trouble trying to come up with an explanation why she would kill me... I need to get everyone to know I'm here. Otherwise, my safety isn't guaranteed, and I doubt that would be because of the curse.

"Actually, I think it would be a good idea to get everyone to know her. She will be working with us, so it makes sense for her to get along with everyone." Siren replies instead.

Suska looks like she's about to lose this argument. I can agree to that unless she wants to reveal a certain secret to Siren. Luckily she doesn't and instead decides to give up trying to sneakily kill me and take me to a free room.

Oh, I just realized that I, just like everyone else here, look like an anime character...

That's great.
