Castle Swimmer (Kappa x Siren)

     Siren's Pov:

Vien laughs so much that her face becomes red. I told her what happened in the dungeon...and she laughed?!

"OH MAH GAWD! I CAN'T BREATHE! BWAHAHAHAHAH!" She clutches her stomach and continues her laughter. 

I frown and say, "It's not funny. He KISSED me!" 

She takes a moment to stop laughing and wipe the tears from laughing so much. "Well? Did you like it?" I blush, she smirks.

"W-why would I-" I don't finish my sentence. I don't try to finish it because I already know that Vien wouldn't care no matter how much I say I don't love him. I sigh and look everywhere but at her.

"It was... nice..." She grins from ear to ear, but quickly tries to hide it. 

"Ahem, uh, that's, that's good. So what will you do now?" I can tell she is trying to avoid 'fangirling' so that I don't feel uncomfortable, but seriously, she is not doing a good job at it.

"I...don't know. I really like him, but, it's kind of like...a small...c-crush..." She looks like she is really thinking about a solution, I feel like a pup asking an elder a question...

"I suppose you just haven't developed your feelings strong enough yet. For now it might seem like you only like him, but eventually, it might become more. And I'm sure he feels the same." Then she frowns and looks down while holding her hand to her chin. She silently thinks about something for a moment and mutters something like, "Though this might make your progress faster or slower..."

"Who knows, maybe you're marriage will come sooner now!" I turn complete red. "STOOOOP!"

She chuckles. "Seriously though, I think you two should talk things out. Don't let the relationship you have with him now disappear just because of that one touch of skin." I look at her. "Have you ever been in...in a relationship?" 

She gives me a look that makes me feel dumb. "I'm into anime guys, I don't find the people in my universe attractive. Sadly, there are no anime guys in my universe. So instead of moping around about not being in a relationship, I focus on shipping 2D characters instead. To me, the feeling of a ship sailing is much better than the feeling of love towards some guy." 

That...didn't help me at all. "In that case, maybe I should start focusing on uh, 'shipping' others instead of focusing on love." 

She widens her eyes in... horror? "NO! YOU MUST FOCUS ON LOVE. YOU. MUST." Proof number 812 that Vien is weird.

"Whatever. Anyways, I still don't know my plan for what to do..." She sighs. "Look, just talk to him about it. From what I've learned after reading a hundred romance webtoons, keeping quiet and ignoring the other person will always lead to disaster. You don't need to go this instance and talk things out, but you should do it as soon as possible."

I nod. "Thanks, Vien. 

Uh, were you heading out or something?"

She freezes. "Uh. Actually. Y-yeah. I was kind of wondering what it looked like outside the cave, but I didn't want to bother you about it since you aren't allowed leave the castle and all."

I look puzzled, she could have asked and I would've gotten a guard or someone else to take her out on a stroll. "I could ask someone to take you outside. There are merfish who go outside the cave to hunt, I'm sure they will take you with them if I ask." 

She smiles cheerfully, "That would be awesome!"

Vien's Pov:

I'm still shocked by what Siren said. This wasn't supposed to happen! He was supposed to just CHAT with Kappa! He was supposed to slowly fall in love with him! But instead he ended up KISSING him?! 

Is this because I came to this world? Is that enough to make a butterfly effect? How did the original timeline change like this? Ughhhh!

I can't even tell anyone that this wasn't supposed to happen. I just have to pretend that everything that happens from now on is totally supposed to happen. 

Sigh.

Whatever, I'll think up of something...

I swim faster to keep up with Siren. We go to what I presume is the cave entrance. There are guards who are swimming towards the opening in the cave, they carry spears and nets. One of them notice Siren and me and waves to us while telling the others to look. 

"Prince Siren! Ms. Vien! We didn't think you would be here! We were just about to leave to go hunting." A merman with royal dark blue hair says. Another with an almost white colored tail asks, "You are Ms. Vien? I'm Nebel and this is Coal. I wasn't able to meet you yesterday, but you really look different! Uh, in a good way!" I chuckle. Ms. Vien? They are really too respectful. "Just Vien is fine."

"If it's not any trouble, could Vien travel with you outside? You must have heard her circumstances. She hasn't ever seen outside the castle... so, I request you take her with you, please." For a prince, he sure asks kindly. 

"Of course! It's no problem for us!" Coal smiles.

I grin, I finally get to see the world outside of the castle.

We say goodbye to Siren and head out of the cave. There are 4 people beside Coal and Nebel. 6 people to hunt? Is that a lot of people to go hunting, or too few? I honestly know nothing about hunting...

The world seems full of color, pink corals cover parts of the cave, seaweed as well. There are so many different colored fish! Yellow, orange, blue, green. It's like I just went from wearing glasses with dark blue lenses to having a clearer view.

I twirl in the sand in excitement. Never have I ever thought I would see a view like this. It's like those sceneries that are photoshopped. Some of the merfolks laugh along me. "This is really the first time you have ever seen a place like this?" One of them asks. 

"In my universe, we drown if we go underwater this deep for this long. We aren't equipped with tails or the ability to breathe underwater." The one who asks frowns in sadness. "You must have never seen any of this before then..." He quickly turns on a determined smile and says, "Well, you will be seeing a lot of new things now that you are with us!" I smile.

I remember yesterday when everyone looked a little suspicious and scared of me when Siren took me to meet everyone. I'm glad that they trust me enough now. I wonder if me being here will change anymore of the original timeline.

Oh well, fun first, think later.

Sorry for not updating for some time, but-ugh, these stupid flies are swarming me like I'm a queen bee or something-I've been feeling sick for a while. And now I really am sick. Hope me well so that I could maybe update another page without dying from my sniffles and headaches!
