Castle Swimmer (Kappa x Siren)

     Siren's Pov:

I try to drive the conversation to the topic of the future, but Vien is far more interested in my opinions on everything and keeps dragging the conversation elsewhere. I'd ask, "So, you can see our future?" And she would respond with, "Yep. Do you eat raw meat?" 

"Uh, yea, I do. You don't?" And the topic would change to food.

After a while, she seems to realize part of what I'm trying to do and replies my next question with, "Look, if I reveal the future to you, it's most likely that it won't happen. If it turns out that the future is bad, I WILL change it. But so far, nothing is bad enough for me to change. In the future I see, n-nobody died... yet."

Died? Yet? What is she talking about? Does she think I'm trying to know if Kappa dies in the future? I'm curious about that, but my priority is the secret my mom is keeping. Though I am thankful for her answering a silent question. 

I take a deep breath and say, "Vien... I'll be honest. I want to know what secret my mom is hiding. You said that with the secret, you could change her mind if she tried to imprison you. What could she be hiding that if revealed, would stop her from doing such a big act?" Vien stops swimming.

"W-what? I was just... joking about that. I was just going to say something random and hope it would work, haha." Although she laughs, her smile seems forced. She seems like she is panicking. Is she lying?

"You're not telling the truth, are you...?"

"Siren, it's not my secret to reveal. And although I want to do nothing more than change the future, I'm trying to be reasonable. Please don't ask me or your mom about the secret, it might end up putting me in a jail cell and Kappa's execution by you closer." She pleads.

I frown, trying to stop my curiosity. Kappa is more important to me than a secret. I'm not about to lose him to a stupid decision I make. 

"Okay, I'll try to stop bothering you about it."

"Let's travel around a bit more. I want to see the area where you eat and where the hospitalized people are!" She says back in her cheerful voice. Her curious eyes look around everywhere, finding answers to unknown questions. I wish I could do the same.

Kappa's Pov:

I spend my day like usual. Wake up, stare at the top of the cell, wait for Siren, stare more, wait more, take a nap, stare and wait more. Yes, it's quite a busy schedule. 

I know it's noon when I see Siren's figure swim closer towards my cell when I next look toward the cave entrance. I smile, greeting him with a huge grin. He gives me a polite smile in return, but it seems kind of sad.

We talk about whatever topic we can think of while eating. Siren seems to be spacing out a lot though. I ask if I can touch his hair, but he just shakes his head and turns away. 

"Sorry, I'm just... not feeling so great." He says with a sad smile.

I frown, he definitely isn't okay. 

"Siren, what's wrong?" 

"... I think my mom is hiding some huge secret, and I think... Vien knows it. But she won't tell me." He reluctantly says. 

I don't like him looking so down. I pat his hair and say, "I'm sure the queen will tell you when she feels the time is right. Just be patient and everything will work out, okay?" He gives me his charming smile and I feel my cheeks blush a bit. Wait, what? I mean... uh.

Anyways. 

"Hey, why don't we ask Vien to help?" I ask.

"Hah... I already did. She just gave me a weird look and said to ignore that she is even here and carry on as if a different being from a different world didn't float down."

"That's a shame, she could've been a huge help because of her future telling ability." I frown and Siren nods.

"Hey, how does your hair keep it's shape?" I ask while touching his hair.

"That's just the way my hair is." 

"Amazing..."

I don't notice how close we are until Siren starts blushing.

I grin and get closer, "What? Afraid of me?" I whisper.

He turns to a tomato face, "N-not afraid..."

I smile and lean a bit closer just to make Siren more flushed. I'll admit it, it's cute when he does tha-

One of the fish push my head and our lips touch.

Warm.

Soft.

Lips.

I feel like I could melt in them, but quickly push away. Both of us red in the face.

"I-I'm so sorry! The fish pushed me! Oh my god, what have I done?!" Siren just stares at me with an open mouth. He touches his lips and blushes ten times more. After an awkward moment, he says, "S-sorry, I'm- I'm gonna go now..." And then leaves.

What have I done...?

Vien's Pov:

It's Monday. Day 2 of my time in this universe. There is really nothing much to do here, I suppose that I might get questioned further about my story. But if the plot line of this universe is the same as the one in Wendy's webtoon, then everything should be peaceful until day 5 of my time in this universe. I wonder if I should warn them about the barracudas, either way, the criminals end up being eaten by the giant jellyfish... it might just help everyone. Plus, Skiff won't have a scar. Then again, Siren won't meet Skiff, and towards the end of season 1, Skiff might not let Siren pass with Kappa...

Ugh! This is so damn frustrating! Do I change the story even though my future seeing ability won't be an advantage anymore, or try to keep the same timeline so that nothing out of the ordinary happens?! If only I knew the ending of Castle Swimmer... then I would have known if someone important dies or not and if I should change the timeline...

I remember back when Siren asked me about Suska. I really hope that won't lead to a butterfly effect 

While I'm here, I should look around the castle. I know I did that with Siren yesterday, but I want to look around outside the cave as well. And bringing Siren with me yesterday would have been a huge risk.

I swim towards the cave door of my room when Siren rushes in and slams into me. 

"Ouch! What the heck, Siren?"

I glare at him for the hard hit on my head that left a painful mark, but stop when I see his face.

He looked like he didn't know how to react to something. Did something happen?

I decided to change the story a bit, don't worry, there will be many cliffhangers.

Because of the 3 month hiatus of the actual webtoon, I had to change the plot so that I can keep you guys entertained throughout the long hiatus.
