Demir checked his phone when he got out of his meeting, no calls, no messages?! Frowning he thought, that Burak must had dragged her with some spurious reason to  a meeting again, most probably she had to endure some sleezy customer because obviously Burak had no understanding what so ever. He dialed Selin's number and wondered why her phone was off. Back in the office his eyes wandered immediately to her desk, but no sight of her.

Azmiye, where is Selin.

She left, Demir bey.

For a meeting?

No she left for the day, a little hastily, she didn't even hear that i was shouting after her.

Where is Burak bey?

He left not long ago, i mean they did not leave together. But they were on the roof before she left.

Thank you Azmiye hanim.

Demir wandered into his office ignoring Eylül, who threw him a bright smile over her desk. He wondered how he ever could have fallen in love with this woman! The level of insensitivity, vanity and pretentiousness was so repellent.

He called the landline of their home, thinking that maybe something was wrong with her phone, as he was listening to each ringing, worry grew in his chest. This was not typical for Selin, just leaving without a word, not writing him a small message like „I'm home, it's so empty without you❤️". He was living for these silly little things she was calling the proper phases of flirtation. But now the phone was ringing endlessly. Where was she? Ayda was with him in the meeting and he knew she wouldn't know so he called Merve. But Merve was clueless too, isn't that your natural state, Beads? He thought thanking her aloud.

He rushed out of the office, his unrest grewing with every kilometer when he the drove home. The house was silent. His shouts „Selin... Selin" remained without answer. The living room and kitchen were looking untouched. He run up the stairs, finding her room in a normal state. Looking around he recognized that her clothes were removed from her closet, also her suitcases were missing. He opened drawer after drawer to find them empty, as he was trying to contain his growing panic, his look fell at the aquarium. It was empty!
