GOING TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE HIS MOTHER WORKED WASN'T EASY. HE HAD TO EXPLAIN SLOWLY TO HIS MOTHER THAT KATIE WAS HIS FRIEND AND THEY FOUND HER BEING HARASSED BY A GUY.
With a little help from Sung Hye, they were able to spin a story while Sung Hye was sitting beside him at the back monitoring Katie and helping him change at the same time.
They both figured she would be suspicious about this, so they told her the guy ran away and they didn't see his face because of the wee hours of morning.
That made the teenagers realize that they spent a whole day investigating, breaking rules, thinking and planning for Katie's escape under everybody's radar. Except his mothers, who got him off with a warning and drove them back to school. Aunt May went to go tell Mj and left earlier.
Parking at the back of their dormitory, she kissed his cheeks embarrassing him in front of Sung Hye and wished him a good night. He mumbled a good night in spanish and returned her kiss.
Seeing his mother's car leave the street he sighs walking along with Sung Hye back to their rooms. The girl cranes her back, hearing a satisfying crack. "It's finally over!" She groans out, hands stretching to the sky.
Miles yawn rolling his shoulders, "Yeah it is. I can finally sleep without the feeling of guilt pinching my conscious every night." He smiles gazing upon the visible stars twinkling in the morning sky.
Sung Hye tucks a strand behind her ear. "What? All this time you were worried about Katie rejecting you?" He looks away, pouting in thought. "Maybe, I honestly tried not to get hurt during my usual night patrols." He mumbles cheeks pink.
Sung Hye opens the door for both of them entering the lobby, "Well I just hope Katie accepts you," She turns to him with a smile, a genuine one. "You saved her from the demonic claws of evil. If she doesn't accept you she's a bum for not. You're a great superhero." She said, adding, "And a crybaby too."
Miles laughs. "Wow, Thanks. I appreciate that. So, I'll see you in second and foruth period tomorrow?" Sung Hye climbs up the first steps leading to the girls wing, "You bet and after school we're going to the hospital right?"
He smiles climbing to the steps that leads to the boys wing as well, "You know it, night." She sends him a salute, running up the rest of the steps to the girls wing. He does the same, heading to bed.
