The next day.

Hermione woke up groggily and yawned, she hadn't sleep too well as she was too busy worrying about today, she looked over to see Ron's side empty and made up, she sighed and got up, pulling on her dressing gown and walking to the kitchen, where Ron had placed a bowl of her favourite cereal, a rose and a note.

'Dear Mione, I hope you have a great day at work, here's a rose almost as beautiful as you. Love Ron.'

Hermione smiled fondly at the rose but the moment was ruined by the sudden dizziness, she quickly runs to the bathroom and throws up, glad that Ron wasn't here to see her like this.

After washing herself, placing her hair into a ponytail and getting dressed, Hermione decided to have some toast before deciding to apparate to St Mungo's.

5 hours later, Hermione is on her lunch break, after picking out a salad and pumpkin juice at the cafeteria and sitting at the table closest to the door, Hermione heard the door open and people talking when she looked up and saw Healer James walking towards her while talking quickly with someone.

"Oh there you are." Healer James says with a smile as she sat down next to Hermione, while the person stood, "Miss Granger, I'm sure you know who this is but anyway please welcome Healer Draco Malfoy." Healer James says with a grin as she pointed to the person she had been speaking to, Draco sat down and Hermione looked at him after almost choking on a cucumber.

"Nice to see you, Granger." Draco says politely, Hermione cleared her throat and smiled, "I thought being Head Girl and Boy would have made us acquaintances,but I guess not, Malfoy." Hermione says with a smirk, Draco shook his head and let his smile come out before straightening up again.

"I would say we were more than that." Draco says with a raised eyebrow and a small smirk, "Well, it's good you're on good terms as you will be partners, Draco has joined us from our American sister hospital St Markos." Healer James says with a small smile, Draco frowned at that last bit.

"I look forward to working with you." Hermione says with smile, "We'll let you eat your lunch, me and Mister Malfoy have a few things we need to talk about." Healer James says while getting up, Draco copying her, "Don't forget your appointment at 6pm." Healer James says quietly to Hermione who could feel her anxiety raising in her chest as she nodded and looked down at her food.

6 hours later, Hermione found herself in the waiting room, she fiddled with the handle of her bag nervously, "Hermione Granger." Hermione heard her name called, her heart started beating quickly, she stood up and looked at the Healer and smiled as she walked into office.

"I was surprised to see your name on my list." Hermione turned to see a fellow survivor of the war, Cho Chang, Hermione smiled as Cho led her over to a bed, "I didn't realise you worked here Cho." Hermione says with a smile as she sits on the bed. "I've been travelling all over with the hospital, I've only been back nearly a year now." Cho says with a smile as she pulled over a tray of equipment from her desk.

"I heard that you were living in the Muggle world." Hermione says as she watched Cho used a sterilizing spell, "I started studying just before the war, then I spent 6 months in the Muggle world where I met my husband and then came back and finished my training." Cho says with a smile, "You're married?" Hermione asks with smile, Cho grinned.

"My Muggle husband, Richard, knows all about me and my world, we met at a cafe in London and 2 months in I told him all about me and he took it amazingly." Cho says with a happy look on her face and a large smile, Hermione smiles at her softly, "So, you're here to find out if you're pregnant, is that correct?" Cho asks, Hermione nodded and took in a deep breath.
