FOUL 15

I woke up extra early today for no apparent reason. Maybe because I just really had a good sleep last night kaya kusa akong nagising ng maaga. I took my phone on my bedside table to check if there was a message from my boyfriend. I automatically smiled after I realized what I just said, boyfriend ko na talaga si Juan Gerardo.

I was a bit disappointed though, walang message si Juan. Maybe he was still asleep-- tired from his training last night.

"Good morning, 'ya!" I greeted our helper. She was preparing my breakfast.

"Ang aga mo ah!" she remarked. "May lakad ba kayo ni Kass?"

I shook my head. "Wala. Busy 'yon sa buhay niya."

She let out a small laugh. "Ikaw talaga! Damayan mo 'yang kaibigan mo."

"I'll talk to her later sa school." I simply replied. "I'll take a bath first before ako magbreakfast."

"Sige. Bilisan mo ha, malapit na maluto 'to."

I took a bath for like half an hour-- it felt really nice to be in water. Minsan, feeling ko sirena talaga ako eh kasi sobrang gusto ko sa tubig. After taking a bath, I went to my closet and chose to wear a denim shorts, white sleeveless blouse then I paired it with my white chucks. I don't feel like dressing up today, just a laid back 'fit on a friday.

My eyes immediately landed on the person comfortably sitting on the couch in the living room as I walked down the stairs. What is he doing here? We didn't make plans today.

"Good morning," he greeted me with a warm smile.

My forehead creased. "Good morning, too. Why are you here though?"

He stood up from his seat then he walked towards my direction. "I came here to pick up my girlfriend. Bawal ba?"

I pinched his nose because I couldn't hide my kilig. Gosh, my boyfriend is the sweetest! "Hindi naman. I was surprised lang. C'mon, let's eat breakfast first." then I pulled him to the dining room. "You should've texted me first."

"It's not a surprise then if I texted you." he replied. "I actually came here to ask you to have a breakfast date with me."

I frowned. "Sayang naman 'yung pinrepare ni ate na breakfast kung hindi natin 'to kakainin."

Juan smiled at me. "We'll eat everything Ate Marie prepared for breakfast then. Let's have lunch date instead."

Juan and I were in the middle of having breakfast when my mom came in. Juan immediately wiped the side of his mouth and swiftly stood up from his seat to greet my mom.

"Good morning, Mrs. Lopez." Juan politely greeted my mom.

"Oh! Good morning, Juan!" Mom greeted him back enthusiastically. "Drop the formality, hijo. Just call me Tita."

Juan gave my mom a shy smile. "Sige po, Tita."

"Mom," I called my mom's attention the moment she sat on her seat. "I'd like to formally introduce my boyfriend to you, Juan. Juan Gómez de Liaño."

Juan didn't expect my sudden introduction, he almost got choked. Baliw ata 'tong lalaki na 'to, pupunta punta dito sa bahay tapos hindi niya ie-expect na ipapakilala ko siya sa magulang ko.

Mom handed him a glass of water. "Are you okay, Juan?" she worriedly asked him.

"Yeah. I'm fine, tita." he replied after he downed the water.

Mom shifted her gaze at me. "Ikaw naman kasi! Binigla mo naman 'tong si Juan."

I chuckled. "Quits lang kami, ma. He knows what I mean!"
