Chapter III

FIELD TRIP

After the victorious Inter – Schools’ activities, Marj, Heart, Gella and Trix went to the café near their school. It’s their favorite place/café and meeting place. It has been their habit to go there whenever they want to chill out. While they’re there chit chatting and sitting in a four – sided table they would commonly order their favorites the – chocolate latté and chocolate cake and sometimes they would order an ice tea and a pizza with ham, pepperoni and cheese toppings. During that day, while they are having their time at the café, they talked about their plans for the coming weekend. Marj suggested that they should watch a movie, while Heart suggested that they should go and have a window shopping. Gella on the other hand wanted to go “wall climbing.” While Trix wanted to have an out-of-town trip, then all were thinking of one thought, they looked at each other – “SPEAKING OF TRIP! The school Field Trip is only 2 weeks away!” Marj said. Then their topic was now converted on what should they do and bring for the Field Trip. They were talking while eating, they talked about their expectations about the trip…”Would it be exciting?” they asked their self. They are wondering if the trip would be as exciting as the Inter – School’s Activities since it is only 2 days activity and would take place only at a beach.

Days and weeks passed, the four were so busy preparing for their stuffs. Then the day of the field trip came. The class assembled and meets all at the flagpole. Then when the clock strikes 8:00 a.m. every student’s were then asked to go on the buses intended for them. While on the way to their area, some of students were bored, some were sleeping, some were talking with their classmates, some were listening to music and some were busy taking pictures as souvenirs like Marj who happens to be a nature lover. Heart then is just busy eating her “baons” while watching every tree they passed. Gella like others are just listening to music through her iPod. Because of boredom Trix open her laptop and played some PC games.

After 2 hours of waiting, they finally arrived at their destination The Beach. All were relieved for the surroundings are so wonderful like paradise. The sea is as blue as the sky, trees are all-over the place, the cottages are made out of nipa, there are also tents and benches in where the guest could relax. The students’ then put all their bags and baggage’s at the cottage meant for them, and then the party begins! The students were having the time of their life. Some were busy picking up shells, some were playing beach ball and some were immediately went to water and some laid themselves in one of the benches and took a “sun-bath.” As for the four girls, Marj is still busy taking photographs of her friends at far and also was capturing the view of the surroundings. While she was taking the photograph of the horizon --------- “Baah!!” a familiar guy appeared in front of her, Ryan one of the school bully. Marj didn’t respond to Ryan’s “Baah!” instead she gave Ryan a grin and face at another direction and continued taking photographs but Ryan wouldn’t get rid of her. Ryan has been Marj’s neighbor for years and since then Ryan has been bullying Marj. “What the heck do you want now?!” Marj in a low voice but with an angry intonation. “Nothing! I just thought you wanted my photograph…” Ryan replied with a laugh and in a boastful voice. “Your photograph?! Shut up! I would rather take a photograph of a dead rose!” “Oh! Really?! I don’t think so… Just admit it … and besides it would be an honor to smile in front the camera of the ------” Ryan was teasing Marj in a more boastful, irritating voice “------- theatre arts star … aahhh …” “will you please just go away! Dirty little cockroach!” “Ohh … Ms. Theatre Arts Star is now very angry … I’m scared …” “You better be!! Now just go away!” “What if I won’t?” “Grrr …” then end of conversations Marj walked out and decided to go inside their cottage and gave her a break. On the sea shore, Ryan was left laughing for every time he makes Marj burst out of anger it makes him happy. On the other hand, Gella, Heart and Trix were happy taking a swim at the beach. While diving into the waters, Raffy caught Trix’s eyes. Trix didn’t know what made her looked at Raffy but one things certain, she likes Raffy! Then the night after, Trix told the girls about it … “Gosh… I think I’ve got a crush on Raffy” “Raffy as in Raffy the Badminton Cutie?” Heart asked … “Yup … I was amazed by his smile and his eyes … It’s so unexplainable …” “In-love …” then all of them were laughing, they talked and talked the whole night, then the following morning … it’s a brand new day, day of games and adventure and it is also their last day to enjoy for the next morning all of them will have to go back to their houses and go back to their routinely lives.
