Chapter IV

FALLING IN LOVE

After the school field trip, everything was back to normal but the memories of the victorious inter-school and fun trip is still on the minds of each students. Like the four girls talking to the school grounds, Gella, Heart and Trix – Marj wasn’t there yet ‘coz she had to do some business of her own “It was so fun! It was the time of my life! I’ve never done that before!” Heart said. “Obviously, You’ve been with books since birth how could you enjoy your life?!” Gella said. “I… I enjoy reading?” “Never mind” “Hey Trix? Are you with us? Or you’re with the wind?” Gella asked. “I’m just thinking about -” Trix said but she was destructed, “about?” Gella urged then Heart pointed her at the other direction where was Trix staring there they saw Raffy. “Love does make people Crazy!” Gella said. “I don’t want to fall in – love…” Heart said. Then Gella looked at her with an unconvinced faced. Then suddenly Marj arrived. “What’s up?” “Trix is in – love… as in really, really hit by the cupids arrow!” then Marj just laugh. “So? How’s your business?” “They said we’re doing a play and I’m with Ken again.” “That’s great!” then while they were talking, Ryan passed by, “Hi, girls, Hi Marj” with a gentle tune and different disposition. “Hi?” Marj answered – confused. “Hey, Girls was that Ryan?” but the girls couldn’t answer, even they were confused. “Hey, you two were the last one to go home yesterday, did something happen? And who’s Vanessa?” Trix asked. “Yah, who’s Vanessa? He’s really affected with her.” Gella asked. “Did something happen?” Heart repeated. “Who’s Vanessa?” Marj repeated. “Vanessa? Is my past friend, I really don’t want to talk about her, but she’s the one who turned Ryan into a monster.” Marj smiled. “Did something happen? Why is he acting that way?” Heart repeated. “What happened? We agreed to be FRIENDS?” Marj said. “You agreed to be friends?” Gella repeated but in questioning manner, then they were laughing because – they just want to. Then the bells rang!! All students immediately proceed to their classrooms. On the class, Heart who was sitting beside the window was listening attentively; Gella who was sitting next to Heart was scanning books and taking notes, Marj who was at the back of Gella was talking notes but then she noticed Trix who was beside her, imagining and looking at the window. “Ms. Trix? Ms. Garcia?!” their instructor exclaimed. “MA’AM?!” Trix answered and was surprised. Marj who is next to her was worried about her. “Are you listening to my discussion? Or are you busy exploring your imagination?!” “Sorry ma’am, I’m just – bothered with some thoughts.” “Bothered? Well then, next time be sure to leave your thoughts on your locker!” then Trix seated. Then the bell rang, she was closed to “unsaved by the bell!” Then after that class all of them were free, actually not all of them, one of them, Trix. She went to cafeteria, sat at the corner, and ate her food alone. Then suddenly, “can I share seat with you? Raffy asked. Trix was shocked, kind of speechless “Ya – yaah!” “Thank you, Trix.” “You know me?” “Of course I do, who wouldn’t know the school V.P.?” Then Trix gave him a smile. “And didn’t you remember at the trip?” Raffy asked “Yah, we were at the same losing group during the hunt.” Then they both laugh. “So where are Marj, Heart and Gella? Your friends?” “hhmmm… doing their business. Marj went to the rehearsals, Heart to the library and Gella to the court.” “Okay, so you?” “Isn’t it obvious, here at the cafeteria, eating with the know Raffy, the badminton cutie.” Then again they laugh. “You know its fun being with you; maybe we should do this often.” Raffy invited. “Sure!” Trix immediately answered. Then they talked and talked and talked. On the library, Heart met Marj, “I though you were rehearsing?” Heart asked. “We’re finished; I’m here to research about some poems.” Marj answered. “Okay, meet you later; I have to go to the office.” “Okay, Bye.” Then Marj looked for a chair, she found one in the corner and she was shocked when she saw Ryan. “You? At the Lib?” Marj asked surprisingly. “Is it that surprising?” Ryan asked. “Sort of” Then Marj seated. While looking for some books, Ryan helped Marj, and then while Marj was taking notes about her research, she and Ryan were talking. “I should have known you before.” Marj said “I mean, just now I realized you’ve really not that bad.” Then Ryan just smiled and said, “Was I that bad? But seriously, I didn’t mean to bully you, I just want to get some attention, I’m really sorry.” “Apology accepted!” Marj said, “I have to go, I still have to meet the girls,” “Bye.”

At the grounds, the 3 girls noticed Trix big smile. “Hey, are you going mad?” Heart asked. “Laughing all by yourself, that’s crazy!” Marj said. “Side effect of being in – love.” Gella asked. “Think so?” Trix said. Then they laughed. “Something did happen right?” Marj asked. “Yupzie, yupzie. Yup we talked, laughed together and he told me that we should do that often.” Trix narrated. “Good – start!” Gella commented. “But look at this girl, among us, only Trix has a blossoming love life?” Gella said. “Hey, it’s not only Trix!” Heart said. “What do you mean?” Gella asked. “Marj?” “Marj” “Me?!” “You” “What are you talking about?” Marj asked. “Nothing… I just though you and –” Fred the school president passed by – Heart looked at Fred with a glimpse. “You and –” then Marj interrupted. “Is he cute?” teased Marj. “Hold it! I just – yaah, he’s cute.” Heart said. “So, it’s really not Trix or me? But also you” Then they laughed silently (pa girl2x kay naa man ang crush… hehehe…). Then suddenly Trix called out “FRED!” he looked back then Trix looked at Heart, she was hiding, then she shouted “NOTHING! FORGET IT!” then Heart looked at Trix angrily, “you’re so –!!! GRRR…” then they were laughing, out loud that time.

The following day, at the cafeteria while the girls were talking FRED showed up, “Can I share with you?” “Sure!” Trix answered. Then they looked at Heart, then… “Fred, meet my friends, Marj, Gella and Heart.” introduced Trix. “Hi!” Fred boastfully greeted.
