Chapter XI

A HAPPY ENDING

The day after the Prom, Trix, Heart and Gella planned in how they should bring Ryan and Marj together. And so, as usual, they planned a “group date”… they invited Marj and told her that they will find a date for her and so Marj agreed.

On the day of the date, they were supposed to meet at a coffee shop, Raffy was already there, then Ryan came in… Then, Marj… “Where are they??” asked her… “Maybe there on their way,” said Raffy. And so they waited then Raffy excused herself that he would just buy something outside. Marj and Ryan waited for him to come back but he didn’t… 30 minutes, 1 hour… No friends arrived then Heart called up… “Hey! Sorry… Maybe today you should enjoy being with Ryan and write your own love story…” then hang up the phone. Marj looked at Ryan then told him it’s a trap… But instead of going home, they used their time…

First, they chatted at the coffee shop then went to the mall, to the Star City and then to a nearby beach??

I never thought you’re mysterious?” said Marj. “You?? I thought you were…” said Ryan then they laughed while they are there, they build a sand castle and it seems that they are enjoying each other company… Ryan would again tease Marj, and then when Marj will get angry he says “SORRY…” they chased each other around circles… around the seashore… They didn’t notice the time then they realized it was getting late when they saw the sun setting…

Then they sat at the sand, looked at the sunset together… Ryan sometimes glanced at Marj, then Marj at Ryan, it seems that a new love story is blossoming… Then they went home, Ryan dropped off Marj into her house, that was around 7 in the evening… “Bye” said Ryan. “BYE.” And then drive off but Marj is entering the gate, Ryan car returned, “I enjoyed your company!” said him. Marj was kinda shocked, but she smiled while saying “me too.” Then enters the gate… and she was smiling like crazy.

She went straight to her room and when she enters, she saw her 3 good friends waiting for her… “At last you’re here! What happened?” said Heart. Marj was supposed to be angry but instead she thanked them… “I think I like him all this time…” “What?!?” reacted Trix “well, not bad…” she continued. Then they were laughing outrageously, teasing each other again and again. The following day, the 4 girls would still chat at the grounds, but as they know they’ve got to balance their time together with their friends and boyfriends… Marj thought that she would be alone again, but her knight and shining armor came… Ryan! Ryan accompanied her everywhere, anytime. Then since then, Ryan is always together with Marj when she’s not with her friends… They would eat some snacks together, Ryan would sometimes watch Marj’s rehearsals, and they would sometimes watch basketball together. And as each day passed, they were able to know each other more and more better and maybe like each other.

After the Prom, the students’ of Dalton University is all looking forward to their UNIVERSITY WEEK CELEBRATION!! Booths everywhere and surprises!

And so as day passed, the UW celebration came… But that’s not the thing… the thing is Ryan got a surprise for Marj!! He planned and though of this week ago, and mind me, it’s not just ordinary thinking, its extra – ordinary thing! He thought… “I like her! I’m sure! I’ve got to tell her before I lost her…” Since Graduation Day is coming… They can go separate ways… and so, the moment came… Everyone that time was busy doing their stuffs, different kind of activities, entertaining their booths… Then suddenly, somebody spoke from the announcement room, all silently listening…

“Marj?? If you’re listening? (Then Marj was struck… She knew who it was.) Here I go… I know I always tease you for no reason, I wanted you to get mad, I wanted to see you cry, and I wanted you to walk away because of irritation… I thought of you as an ordinary neighbor, but today I realized that I … I only did those thing because I was denying to myself, I was denying that I tease you ‘coz I wanted your attention, I wanted you to get mad ‘coz when you’re mad you’ve cute and that I always wanted you too see that cute face, I wanted to see you cry, so I will know how to comfort you, I wanted you to walk away because all this time I’ve been avoiding myself to like you, So today, me Ryan Martinez declares that he like MARJ SAAVEDRA!” then done… All were shocked of what Ryan did, but he was idolized for some reasons… while Marj, she was still struck and can’t move until she saw Ryan in front of him… hardly breathing, sweating and nervous just looking at her… Then Marj looked at him and said, “Was that for real??” it was unbelievable for her, Ryan who can’t say anything, just nodded his head… and so Marj thought for a minute… “Hmm… would you want to hear my answer??” again Ryan nodded, “I like you too… (hehe)” she was shy to admit it but she did! Ryan who was still exhausted wasn’t able to say anything. Instead, he just smiled ‘coz he knew what that means and so that was the start.
