PROLOGUE: WARRIORS
A NINETEEN YEAR OLD GIRL WITH tan skin and brunette hair sat crosslegged on the timber planked porch. Birds flew overhead, letting out loud calls whilst bees buzzed from plant to plant. Her hands were together in her lap, her dark but gorgeous eyes admiring the grassy land.
The young adult girl smiled at the view she had of the beautiful landscape Zelea offered.
The planet Zelea wasn't as different to Earth as one might think.
It was much smaller but birds still flew, deers still danced around the fields. Inhabitants of the planet still required the same needs that a human would, nothing really was different to planet Earth. The inhabitants of the planet still had their legends they believed in, myths that were joked about. But one that many believed was that of the Animalian.
The Animalian was believed to be the protector of Zelea, this planet's equivalent to Earth's Avengers. However, it was never proven to be a fact or fiction but it was a legend still taught at schools and within homes.
It was a legend many saw hope in, yet the only proof of the Animalian was thought to be lost centuries ago.
The Wildlife Stone was the mystic artifact that was believed to give the protector their abilities to possess and abilities of any animal, extinct or alive, but no one had any idea as to where it was on Zelea. However, it was closer to this teenager then thought.
The teenager's serenity and peace was disrupted when a scream pierced through the fields. She quickly scrambled to her feet, her eyes moving frantically around the clearing, searching for whatever it is.
"Sweetheart! Where are you!" her mother's desperate call appeared, making the girl rush into the small house.
Her mother was quick to find her, her own eyes wide and black hair frazzled due to stress or panic, the teenager couldn't tell.
"Mother, what's wrong-"
"Come with me, please," she begged, urging her daughter to follow.
The brunette reluctantly did so, growing up being taught that her parents knew what was best for her.
Her mother took her past her living room, through long hallways and ended up entering the basement that she was told not to use.
"Mother, what's happening? Where's father?"
The older woman ignored her, continuing down the old stairs. They creaked at each footstep either one of the women took, only making the teenager's heart beat faster. She was scared, she didn't know what was going on and her mother didn't tell or explain anything.
A dim light flicked on and the young adult girl almost gasped at what she saw.
"Sweetheart, this is gonna make no sense but you need to go," her mother instructed motion to spaceship looking vehicle. Of course, her daughter had no clue what was happening.
The ship was silver and shaped in a way that was not known as a shape. It was bent in weird ways at some parts and had to longer parts on each side that resembled wings almost.
Seeing her daughter's hesitation, that brunette's mother grabbed her tan hand and began trying to drag her towards the ship. Her grip was tight and made it difficult for the young adult to attempt to escape.
"Please tell me what's happening," she begged, not being able to calm her heart rate.
Her mother's eyes showed her own fear and the teenager had the same look.
"Something's happening, your father and I had seen it coming so we prepared this," her mother tried to explain but spoke so quickly words began forming together instead of separately. "Please just do as I say... I won't be able to live with myself if he gets to you."
"Who? Who is here mother?" the daughter begged, grabbing her mother's forearm.
"I will teach you about it when your older, but for now, please do as I say," she flicked open a part of the outer guard of the ship, a keypad hiding under it. Her fingers moved quickly, typing in some type of passcode, and as she retracted her hand, the front slid open. "I will go get your father and we will be right behind you."
The young adult took in a shaky breath, nodding slowly and stepping past. Inside was a red cushioning but that was it, the girl was confused but obeyed.
She climbed over the side, making herself comfy before looking at her mother again. "I'm scared."
Her mother quickly walked away, shifting a few boxes before returning with a black one.
Her mother's dull eyes were glassy as tears tried to surface. She ran a strand of her daughter's hair behind her ear, resting it on her cheek for a second and smiling softly.
Her mother then handed her the black container, which the teenagers took with shaky hands, before stepping back and the glass covered the teenager."I love you!" her mother said, stepping back with her hands together.
The nineteen year old's eyes widened and she dropped the box, trying to find a way out.
Her mother wasn't going to follow, this was the only ship. Tears skidded out her beautiful eyes, staining her cheeks as a panic scream escaped her throat. But before she was able to figure out the mechanics, the ships took off, sliding through the basement and the young adult let out another scream, covering her eyes but before it'd slam into a wall, the bricks retracted.
"Mom!" she screamed as she soared out of the moutain that her home sat upon.
She looked back to see the moutain sliding shut again, confusing her as she hadn't seen anything remotely like that.
She turned back to the front, realising her efforts at getting to her mother were worthless.
Her home was being destroyed, Zeleans running around the fields as a spieces she didn't recognised invaded.
She didn't understand, her eyes scanning the damaged fields for a leader, and eventually her eyes landed on one. A purple alien stood out amongst the crowd, draped in golden armour. He seemed to be the one calling the shots, pointing to certain homes and commanding the invaders to do certain things.
Tears slid down the young adult's cheeks. She could hear the screams of Zeleans and bullets or space weapons firing through out her home. She focused back at the front and the ship began exiting Zelea's atmosphere, passing a rather large and terrifying looking ship before entering the calm surroundings of space.
The young adult girl look down at her feet to where the box had dropped and reached down, resting it in her lap.
Her shaky hand lifted the lid and she gasped.
The Wildlife Stone sat in her lap, the small wolf shaped stone being attached to a necklace, in the middle of teeth like carvings.
That's why no one knew where it was because her parents were keeping it safe, but now it was in her grasp.
The Wildlife Stone was the entrance to being the Animalian and now, this normal Zelean girl was the next Animalian.
And the Animalian is the protecter of Zelea, so she made a vow right there that she'd find the leader of the invasion and put an end to them, even if she dies trying.

A/N
Not a good prologue, I know... But I didn't know where else i could include her backstory and I didn't overly know how to explain it within the plot of Thor: Ragnarok
My apologies for how terrible this chapter is, I promise it'll hopefully get better and my writing won't be as sloppy.
