CHAPTER FIFTEEN
"I do... Am I making a mistake?"PULLING THE BEER FROM HER LIPS, Animalia wiped away the droplets from the corners of her mouth with the back of her hand.
"What do you say? Uncharted metagalactic travel through a volatile cosmic gateway. Talk about an adventure." Thor rose his fist, expecting a fistbump when Bruce slap his hand, expecting a highfive. Animalia cringed, holding a hand to her face to try and hide the reaction. "Lia?"
"Honestly, I guess I'm trusting you either way because I know nothing about technology and intergalactic travel," she shrugged, giving Thor a small smirk as Bruce moved past them, murmuring something about a ship.
"You trust me?" Thor's eyebrows furrowed, surprise spreading across his face.
Animalia nodded. "I do... Am I making a mistake?"
Thor's grin spread from ear to ear as he got lost in her doe like eyes. It felt like time slowed, him admiring Animalia gorgeous features. The Zelean blushed when she noticed him staring, turning to go to Valkyrie when Loki scoffed, making both of them glare at him. "You over Jane-" smash! Loki flinched as the beer bottle, that was in Animalia's hand, collided with the tiling under him, glass shards spreading out across the floor and alcohol wetting his ankles.
"There are one of two ships," Valkyrie began to explain as Thor and Animalia stopped gazing at each other, approaching her. "Absolute top of the line models-"
"I don't mean to impose-" smash! Valkyrie threw her beer bottle at him, the glass smashing when collided with the wall behind him. She placed her hands on her hips, licking the leftover alcohol from the corner of her mouth, glaring at Loki. "But, uh... The Grandmaster has a great many ships. I may even have stolen the access codes to his security system."
Animalia crossed her arms, unconvinced. "And suddenly you're overcome with an urge to do the right thing?"
"Heavens, no. I've run out of favor with the Grandmaster and in exchange for codes and access to a ship... I'm asking for safe passage through the Anus," Loki clarified for her, his stare cold towards the group that had gather in a small circle.
"You're telling us that you can get us access into the garage without setting off any alarms?"
"Yes, brother. I can."
Frankly, Animalia still didn't trust him, and neither did Bruce apparently. Rightfuly so.
"Okay, can I just-" Bruce whistles as he motioned for the three others to gather into a huddle. "A quick FYI. I was just talking to him just a couple of minutes ago and he was totally ready to kill any of us."
"He did try to kill me," Valkyrie admitted, looking around at the three.
"Yes, me too. On many, many occasions-"
