CHAPTER TEN
"I can't decline that offer, I'm sorry, I can't"ANIMALIA CREPT THROUGH HER AND VALKYRIE'S small home. It was a simple place, one that resembled an apartment in a way. They had a deal, one side contained Valkyrie's neccessities and the other had Animalia's. It was the decision that was decided when Animalia first landed on Sakaar, but on some nights the pair shared dinner or had nights where they talked about random things until they fell asleep.
Small fairy lights, that Animalia had scavenged, hung high on her side, decorating the corners and edges of her walls whilst Valkyrie's stayed almost plain, holding only a few different types of decorations. It obviously wasn't the most homey type of place but the two made it work.
Animalia glanced to her side, a small hallway led down to where her bedroom would be with a door sat on the side holding a bathroom.
She took a deep breath in and then released it slowly as she turned to Valkyrie's side, going to look for the remote that controls Thor's electric disk. She had no clue where her friend would be keeping it but she prayed she'd find it quickly because she didn't want to know how annoyed Valkyrie would be with her snooping around her side.
Her footsteps were light and gentle against the wooden floors as she hurried over to Valkyrie's side. She stepped past half of their 'living room', it being split in half with one side of Animalia's side and then the other half on Valkyrie's.
She hurried down Valkyrie's hallway, gently turning the doorknob and pushing the white door open that led into her friend's room.
The room was neat, tidy apart from the variety of devices that were spread out across her white desk and the beer bottles that were scattered around the room.
Animalia gently kicked on of the cans to the side, cringing as a splatter of alcohol fell out.
"Oh my god, Valkyrie," she murmured, shuffling across the carpeted floors. Her friend was amazing and the Zelean was very thankful to have Valkyrie as a friend, but she had to admit her friend could be a slob.
Shaking her head, Animalia focused on looking for the remote. Her hands shuffled through piles of papers, each having pages of information written on them. After flicking through them due to her curiosity, Animalia moved to searching her desk drawers.
Her hands pushed through a variety of devices and technology, half of which she had no clue how to work or what they did. She just focused on finding the remote to the electronic disk, that was all she needed to find.
She shuffled through the drawers, pushing more electronics and papers to the side, picking up beer cans. She placed them on the desk, planning to throw them away afterwards.
Seeing no luck, the Animalian jumped back up and straightened her posture. She tapped her chin whilst pursing her lips, looking around the room to see if there'd be any spots for hidden compartments.
