Iris held strongly onto Matthew's hand. Gripping it tightly as they walked onto the frozen battle field. They stood strongly together as Iris leant back with her bow in hand. Ruby came flying down next to them afterwards. Amy rushed along next to them and stood the crowd behind them. The moonlight shimmered graciously along the floor, lighting the frontal heroes up. The Nevers stood grimly on the other side, looking as if they did not know what was going on. Iris tied a note to an arrow and flew it into the headmaster's tower. Silence. Every muscle in her body was ready to shoot off as the silence continued. There was a huge bang and Iris looked up to see a huge firework of red. The man she had seen earlier was flying towards them at great speed. "Charge!" Charles exclaimed. The school children immediately started running towards the man, firing spells and arrows at the agile king. His snake-like eyes shone brightly against the powerful moonlight. He shouted a spell and meteors came showering to them. Bursts of fire started to sprout around her as she ran alongside Matthew. She looked up at the head master as he came down, slicing the air with a massive sword. He brought out an instrument and played it. A wolf's howl came from outside the gates and suddenly, the pounding wild dogs were climbing over the weakened gates. Iris quickly shot a spell of poison onto an arrow, and fired it straight out the wild opponent. It hit the wolf right in the stomach and it flopped down in pain, yowling. The wolves turned to her and growled, their lips drooling and their jaws snapping violently. She shot a speed spell at herself and ran off as fast as she could, hearing the wolves pounding behind her. She could soon hear their bites becoming closer and saw a small window of opportunity. She jumped onto a piece of the crumbling castle and started making her way up. The wolves scrabbled behind, snapping ferociously with their glinting teeth. She kept going higher up, the ground starting to feel like no option to jump down to. She leapt up a huge piece and shot an arrow at the frontal wolf. It yowled in pain and started to snap more. She leapt again, having to scrabble at the castle walls. Then it came to her, the invisible carpet path! She made her way across the narrow ledge, and saw a wolf fall off, into a heap. She gasped in fright and started to rush more quickly along. She saw the vent she had crawled out off and started to wish that it could be closer. There was a huge gargoyle above her and she knew she would have to try a leap of faith. So she leapt into the sky, meters above the ground.
