The Castle

Iris was gently put down to the ground as the rushing group of fairies whizzed around the castle, ushering students into the line and moving along the students across the line. A shimmering array of different colours of pink flashed before her eyes before she realised that every girl here was different in their own ways. She looked over the long line of pink and saw blue in spots. The Ever Boys. The girls gaped dreamily at each one, getting more beautiful as the line went up. Iris found a gnome desperately tugging at her bottoms, trying to get her attention. She looked down at the gnome and quickly took her books, trying to ignore the fact that everyone was looking at her impatiently behind her. She rushed to get her schedule and uniform and hurried along the sapphire-coloured stairs. She looked down at her schedule. 'Dorm 34-Roomates: Amy, Ruby and ??(Student has not been identified or has not arrived, yet)'. Iris hurried around the spiralling stairs. She rushed around charity's spiral case, it looked endless from below. Dormitory 34. She looked sideways. Dorm 45?! She had gone too far. Blushing with embarrassment, she ran back down and landed her feet gently against the door to Dorm 34. She clicked it open, calmed herself down and walked gently in. The signposts for their names were above their beds. Sitting on a bed labelled: Amy, was a small midget girl with bushy chestnut hair that drifted down to her waist. The straps on her school uniform were tightly done up to reach the size of her figure. Emerald-green eyes glinted up to her and she waved her tanned hand. Amy's bed was made out of an expensive-looking wood, it shined as though it had been polished with fairy dust, the duvet she had was a thin pastel blue colour and pastel purple linings drooped over the bed poles. The curtains on her bed were almost transparent and looked right through to her soaking in the orange sunlight as it rose above the horizon. "Hey" Amy said, her voice was angelic and sweet – it felt like a fairy was talking to her.

"Hello" said a rather deep voice. A girl twice as tall as ruby stepped in. Her hair was almost black hair, she had tints of red hidden underneath. She had a crimson cardigan over her and a small black skirt rolled up so much you could almost see her panties. "Hey" Said Amy.
"You've said that already" The tall girl joked. Amy seemed quite offended. She strutted over to a bed on the other side of the room, covered up almost entirely by crimson red things and red rose petals. Next to it was a black bed, with a sign saying: Not arrived yet. That was that mysterious girl with question marks for her name, it was next Amy's. She found her bed was next to Amy's as well. It was everything she dreamed it to be. A fluffy golden duvet with white streaks plated on top. The bedside poles were decorated with golden angels and white doves being showered in white petals. Her mattress was springy and fluffy. The pillows were hard but comforting. Luggage lying next to her bed, she flopped onto her stomach. Warmth spread over her so fast she could of burned, it was so comforting that she could of just fell asleep right there and then. But then a bell sounded and the girls perked upwards. It rang out: This is a student announcement, can all First Year students come to the Welcoming please. That's all first year students at the welcoming as soon as you can. Also can you be in your school uniforms. Thank you! The bell rang again and Iris quickly got her uniform on, still strapping on her heels and belting her straps up when she dashed out of the room. A rampage of girls came rushing down the stairs, wanting to get to the opening pamper session before the Welcoming. She tried her best to get down fast, having to get used to the clumps on her feet quickly. Following the princess down in the sea of pastel colours. The Welcoming took place in the clearing this year so the Nevers couldn't complain about the walk. She took her place next to Amy quickly and looked at the stage where teachers and Deans were rushing to get ready. They all suddenly rushed off stage when the boys came walking down the path. They readied their swords and climbed onto the stage. A mix of handsome melted in Iris' eyes. Like every other girl, Amy beside her gaped at the handsome boys fighting with each other in duels. At the end, when everyone had arrived, they took a bow and looked at the sea of pink and black before grabbing roses and other beautiful flowers. The first one had ginger hair and looked out in the audience. Smiling, he threw out a simple daisy and everybody ducked. Everybody except a ginger haired girl with freckles who smiled up at the boy who came down and took her by the hand. They walked off. The girls grimaced, knowing who they wanted. The boy at the end of the line. He shot them all a dazzling smile and a few fainted. The tall girl, who now she knew was called Ruby, rolled her eyes and looked over at the school for good, ignoring the fainting girls. Boy after boy went out, every on got more handsome as they went along and the further down the line you got – the better the flower. The boy at the end of the line got on the centre stage and studied the girls with his turquoise eyes. Iris grimaced at the girls around her trying to get him to throw the beautiful pink rose dripping with dew. He looked like he knew nothing, a cold-hearted man with only good looks is what he looked like. Iris acted out a throw up at Ruby and she laughed. The boy stood his back to the audience and threw the rose behind him. The girls stood up in synchronisation and waved their arms as if to call the rose to them. It landed softly in Amy's lap. Girls stared at her with envy and the boy turned around. He studied Amy and shot her a dazzling smile. The boy leapt down and took Amy by the hand.
"School roof at midnight" in her ear and leapt off into the audience.
Amy smiled joyfully and shot Iris a grin before settling back into real life. The deans started explaining the rules but Iris didn't listen. What did this mean and who was that boy?....
